Reddit is the only place on the internet where all their delusions about the world, politics, science, human biology and whatever else will be uncritically validated by like-minded people. Losing their personal internet reservation is unbearable to them.
 
I looked back through the last few pages and didn't see this brought up.

It seems like certain subs are using AutoModerator as a way to comply with the New API rules, and by comply I of course mean purposely make the sub worse for the average user while affecting the admins not one bit.

So basically, They're making the Automod kill a significant portion of traffic to their subs over trying to follow the API rules they should be following by just doing their wagieless job and letting thier communities do things organically.
 
So if you're on the otherside of the world, today is June 30th, the day these adblock reddit+ apps die.

From my honest experience with using reddit on mobile, I have never used these apps before. I've always went with a mobile browser with adblock installed to view them, and if I found the mobile layout to be far too egregious, I could always switch to old.reddit.com to view subs (Which I am honestly fucking floored to know reddit still keeps around given how long it's been since they made the switch to the new design for users. Honestly one of the few good things Reddit has done throughout its existence.)

Idk what these reddit+ apps were like, but I'm sure if most people followed what I did then probably not much would really change (Well unless you're a janny with more tools at their disposal, but who would ever want to work for free?)

The plan is obviously to force the average user to bitch to the admins enough that they do something, which would be more than another Janny Purge, not the API changes the Mods want.
This whole thing has reached a level of petty i can't help but find comical, next week they are going to start randomly banning users with some message about how "due to the lack of API access, we can't probably find out who breaks our rules or not" or something.

I think part of the problem is that Google defaults to Reddit and other sites that pay them as those sites are safe and generate revenue for them. Most shit is buried one Google because the sites don't pay for search ranking.

Oh, and because of how Google ranks things, one big factor being back links from news sites and text quantities, it's highly manipulated in that way as well. Almost all SEO is focused on getting backlinks, preferably from journo sources by means of things like HARO and more.

The state of the modern Internet is pretty fucked.

A big name corporation like Google is more concerned of the fact that they can not hide embarrassing Reddit posts that go against the Alphabet's agenda of not trying to seem like they are the abnormal people of the social media platforms?

It's legit been a problem I've run into where I google something and get an answer that redirects to some explanation of why jannies are throwing a fit. Between Google and Reddit somebody should solve this. Google could de-rank reddit links that just go "Privated lol", or Reddit could just nut up and tell the volunteer hall monitors to stop fucking up their site.

Since the conversation has shifted from "Killing 3rd party apps! Unwholesome!" to "Pay your heckin jannerinos! We are the asset!", let's see how we're going on 3rd party app front because Total Reddit Death is coming soon.
Youtube Android App unfucker ReVanced is slowly turning into LuckyPatcher by allowing patches now or in the near future for most popular apps. (A) Comments note that a patch for rif is fun is also in progress despite what the OP writes.

Infinity for Reddit is open source (and will stay open source), but will introduce a paid subscription to actually pay off the increased API costs when the change goes live. (A)

I assume everyone who really cares is going to with the "use your own API key" route instead of paying the sub, but more power to him.
RedReader was granted an exemption on the basis of actually having accessibility focused updates for screenreaders and such. (A) RedReader is also open source.

Can't really speak for the accessibility focus of the app (as I am not blind), but the app does not have mod tools. Curious.
Another funny thing is that the ReVanced contributors have noted that doing the 3rd party app patching may jeopardize your Reddit account, as Reddit will likely be aware of what you're doing with your free API key, so if a trannyjanny gets banned from this, it'll likely be a really funny outcome.
 
As we all know ok the 30th of June, Reddit will shut down its API access to 3rd party apps. However on the 28th, just 2 days before the shutdown, this faggoty fag of an app called Apollo issued an update.

Why would they do that, you may ask. Well the answer is very simple... To give its' users the OPTION to DECLINE a refund for the yearly subscriptions they already paid! Why would anyone do that? But of course to help this poor millionaire developer!

Are redditors really this much retarded? Is there any redditor, even one, who would decline a refund for a service paid but not received???

It's not a new idea, when Twitter raised API changes last year, some 3rd party app devs did the same and actually quite a lot of people refused the refunds.

this was the same thing with the AI dungeon and AI voice shit until devs decided it was enough and gutted everything to make a "marketable product"
