It's not just him though. The fact that nobody in his cabinet/party the first time he went on his Section 230 twitter rant went up to him and told him he was a fucking idiot makes things even worse. I haven't seen one politician that has openly spoken out about how this is a bad thing and nobody should be touching it.

A presidential veto can be overriden with a 2/3s vote (aka 66 votes). So even if Trump vetos, it'll be pointless because the senate can push it through anyway.

Trump was saying he'd veto the NDAA if they didn't include something about repealing 230. Unless I missed them adding that in, the Senate just told him to shove it up his ass by passing it with a veto-proof majority.
The Senate even has a rule against nongermane amendments, i.e. throwing in random shit like this. Trump is such a mongoloid he probably doesn't even know that though.

I don't know about that. There's been a lot of "aaahhh!" from people even up to today, long after the NDAA vote happened.
Meh. Even if the Democrats win both Georgia senate seats (which they probably won't) they would still need 60+ votes to overcome the fillibuster. And if both parties combined had the votes for it now, I think they would have just done it now instead of waiting for Biden. I'm interested in section 230 staying intact as much as everyone else but I also think some people need to settle down.
No one wants to do it now because it would be giving into Trump's Tantrum, and it would interfere with the defense bill, the most important bill to congress.
Yeah but then Joe Manchin from West Virginia would be the swing vote, who is extremely moderate and already went on Fox to tell everyone that he wouldn't expand the Supreme Court and wouldn't vote to end the filibuster. So even if they win both seats, it changes nothing.
