He says that a lot. I think it's a combination of him feeling super fucking shitty (emotionally) and also possibly having physical symptoms. But yeah, we really can't really tell. Chris is going to get super dramatic regardless of if there are actual physical symptoms or not.

This is approaching Games Workshop prices. Only difference is the Skylanders people are actually still making money as far as I can tell.
 
Yeah, I think Chris was into skyladders before the recent 2014 lego binge. Alec and I have been privately joking about it for awhile.

It's a perfect money sink designed for Chris.

Heh, yeah, I'm of the school of Christory that he honestly conflates heartache with heart pain. He said as much to Kacey once to justify the scream that got him banned from the mall, but considering that he used to try to preserve his sperm count by drinking his semen after masterbating, I'm more inclined to attribute this to stupdity than craftiness.

When he talks about "magically transforming to female", I really wish Catherine had been enough of a ween to make a "Magical Potion (Wo)man" video with Chris while she was in the 14BC ruins XD
 
The fact that he hasn't gotten the hint that Renee isn't real by now indicates to me that he's not going to. He has convinced himself that Renee is real and it would take something huge to change his mind.

Also, the prices on those Skylanders things are absurd, and that's coming from someone who plays Warhammer.

It might not be that simple. He doesn't believe stuff he reads here.

Recently, he came up with the idea that trolls hacked his text messages. I don't think he was even prompted with that idea (corrections to my assumption welcome), it was just his response to the Thetan/Skyraider/Catie/Renee blowup. So how does Thetan convince Chris she is a troll? She can tell him, it is a troll hack. She can point him to the forum, it is a troll hack. She can ignore him forever, it is a troll hack.

If you want to know what Chris will believe, do this mental exercise. Try to look at the world from his perspective by considering all of the information he has available to him, and only the information he has available to him. Then consider the universe of possible explanations given that information. Then expand that universe a little bit at the edges, because Chris believes that some impossible stuff is possible. Now look within that expanded universe for the explanation that puts Chris in the best light and is most beneficial to him. Chris will believe that that explanation is almost certainly the correct one.

If he doesn't notice the pain of sticking his 7-in duck into a snowbank, why would he notice a congested feeling in his chest, followed by a slight tingling down the left arm. Even worrying symptoms like "muscle weakness", "cuts and bruises that heal slowly" or "tingling and numbness in the extremities" would probably get lost in the haze of constant fatigue and lassitude. Even the effect of more acute systems would be blunted. This is a guy who routinely fails to notice his panties are filling with poo....why would he notice "Hey, I'm urinating more than usual....I wonder if that's a bad sign."

If there were a drug that fixed his Twoll Pwoblem, he'd throw away the Cure for Atismu for it. Then, after he procures his pharmacological anti-Twoll wonder-pill,
* he'll take the pills for a couple of days,
* then decide it causes him too much stuhress to maintain his pill-taking regimen,
* then lose the pills in the Barbage.
* then two weeks later, he'll email Renee with a whiny whineogram about how Da Twolls are causing him Heart Pains.
* Rinse, Repeat.

Sometimes I wonder why Chris still holds out for a sweetheart ten years after starting out trying to get one, especially when he's so amused and engrossed with time consuming childrens' toys and games. He barely has any time left for a girlfriend between his shitty art job and all the toys he accumulates. It's because the sweetheart is just a toy he's waiting for Santa, GodBearJesus or Mommy to give him. He's ready to buy toys for his toy, like cell phones with generous plans, even before he has the toy. He's never going to get that toy and it will eat away at him.

This. As much as I want Chris to "discover" Renee's a troll, I seriously doubt he will. But we'll just have to wait & see.

No action by you will improve Chris's behavior or lifestyle. Doing nothing will get you the same results, so I'd recommend just dropping him altogether. Unless of course you want inside information on 14.1 BC and his daily nonsense. In that case, carry on.

Chris doesn't consider actual conversations a meaningful part of friendship. He wants to feel like he has friends and that he's being listened to, but he doesn't care about listening to other people or learning about them. (Look at how he describes every woman he's ever known as being "sweet and caring" unless it's a Megan situation where he's come to hate them; even if you take into account the degree to which the troll girlfriends were depicted as interchangeable generic girls, Chris can't distinguish any level of unique personality, and he will still describe women as his "sweet and caring" template even if they harassed or victimized him.) This might be because of the lowered capacity for empathy and theory of mind that comes with autism, or it might be because Chris is kind of a self-centered jerk. Most people would assume someone who didn't answer texts for months to be an asshole or deliberately ignoring them, but Chris assumes Renee is a good listener and a good friend, never asking anything of him in return.

Anyway, there's some really sad inadvertent honesty in the fact that Chris considers having a girlfriend about equivalent to undergoing a literal magical transformation into a "full woman." Then again, given some of the things Chris actually believes, I suppose he probably isn't using "magical transformation" as a synonym for "impossible."

As much as I love Chris sperging about LBP, I think his interest has waned somewhat. Honestly, I have to assume it has to do with worrying about putting levels up online, where they can be discovered by trolls. And once you take that out, what's left of the game?

And I don't think Chris will ever discover Renee is a troll. He still thinks both Kacey and Ivy were true and honest, at least as far as I can tell. His capacity for self delusion is practically limitless.
