There’s alot of potential to have a spinoff series that’s special operations. Because the Chris part of RE8 was alot of fun. And i want more of that.

Even if it would be a COD ripoff I would still play it over this Amnesia slop.
I mean, do I have to spell it out? L4D but in RE universe. It would print fucking money, which is why Capcom would never do it. Even Metal Gear KIND OF tried to do that with Metal Gear Survive, but you're telling me Resident Evil devs never even thought of it?
They already dabbled with the idea in Outbreak, time to come full circle and make an action based online co-op spinoff.
 
If the BSAA Wolfpack never makes another appearance Capcom is retarded. They have some of the coolest militech drip ever.

Yeah give me that shit with a good engine that plays like F.E.A.R or trepang 2

They need to spin-off that shit and structure it like revelations 1. I thought the political drama in that was legit interesting.
 
I will say my excitement is deflated that we're just playing as another nobody. I was thinking maybe Leon will get his own section since Chris got his own in the last two games.

The leaks indicate they are full of shit when they say Leon isn't in it. Now as to how big his sections will be I don't know. Hopefully longer and better then RE8

Ideally I'd like a MGS2 scenario where the build up is for Grace but 90% of the game is Leon.

I've been going through RE8 again, but my gf hasn't seen it till now. Of course she's a big Lady D fan. But they fucked that game so hard killing her off so early.
 
REVII had parts of it where you play as other people involved with the story but I don't anticipate Capcom to ever get that good again when she's shown in the trailer as a central character in the 9 trailer. RE8 also had the demo where you play as a random nobody prisoner in the castle but no one really remembers that and if they do they're disappointed with the main game going another direction for horror.

There was a tech demo of RE2 running on a GBA, which is just a souped up SNES. The original game was also going to have a port for the Gameboy of all things.
I think it's definitely possible, but you got to ask yourself "why" at this point?

I'd love to have a full-blown killteam of Jake and some younger guys with Chris finally retiring and taking a desk job because he's too old for this shit. Could even have some nifty drama where he got a crippling injury and refused an experimental regenerative treatment since it was derived from the T-Virus.

And of course Hunk is around and working for Chris as part of Blue Umbrella, acting as his personal problem-solver for things not even Jake and Co can deal with, and of course we continue to know nothing about the man aside from his codename and that he always gets the job done.
