Your damage, knockback, and critical hit rate is tied to your crosshair size in RE Engine games, so the weapons you can equip a laser to get a massive DPS increase, it's why overall the Killer 7 is the best Magnum in 4 Remake and the sentinel 9 and silver ghost are actually far better handguns than the Red 9 and Blacktail as on pro the Sentinel 9 and Silver Ghost have far higher chance to one shot a normal enemy. And the crit rate of a default shot is 1% but it goes all the way to 7%with the laser. Which means 1/3 shots will instagib nonbosses. Also, without the laser the highest a weapon can get is 5%. so 3 weapons can get 35%, while the rest go from 1-5%. In RE4 Remake specifically having any of the critical hit X5 guns equipped also increases melee crit rate, and the Illuminados charm is an additive 20%. This means every stab in the head or roundhouse kick kills basic units.The removal of the laser is still baffling to me. Re4 had a revolutionary solution to fix the disonance between character and perspective in third person games. Games like mgsv solve it by having a dynamic crosshair that changes if something blocks the shot.
Far too many games either dont tell you at all or just cheat by making sure the shot always lands on the crosshair allowing you to shoot through walls.
RE4make having the laser as an attachment and most guns not even being allowed to use it is silly.
It's standard accuracy bloom its really common in games.
