I think his hand is a scar from code Veronica. And I’m glad they got rid of D.C. Dickhead. He’s an awful voice actor. And yeah, his career is fucking over at this point. No company will wanna hire him with the risk of him leaking info.

It's not necessarily dead yet. Current games such as Hogwarts Legacy and indie games like Pizza Tower are good. Games nowadays are like anything else in the mainstream media where you gotta have to find some diamond in a very huge mountain of rough, which is completely difficult to do.

I don't know what that has to do with anything. Blackrock still owns a fuckton of pretty much every market. Tencent wishes they could be Blackrock. Blackrock pushes ESG the hardest, that's why you got even Nintendo making statements about the importance of ESG and diversity. You think Capcom is on the same level as Nintendo? Not even close, so of course they'll bend even harder. To put into perspective how powerful Blackrock is, they bullied Chevron into putting anti-oil activists on their board.

Essentially what I'm saying is that Blackrock still has an insane amount of money in the markets and even with these bank failures and other company failures the hedge idiots will still follow what Blackrock says. Even if they don't, Blackrock has enough sway to threaten a pull out of any market if they don't get their way and people will bend over backwards to prevent that. Capcom included.

The only reason I personally put spoilers on them is because I know faggots like yourself would dilate if they weren’t behind spoilers. There’s no such thing as spoilers for a remake.

Just got through the demo. Took about 17 minutes, skipping cutscenes. Didn't manage to get the cool limb damage to work, or the parry mechanic, but I'm out of practice and was on controller. Seemed easier than I remembered, or maybe the game took pity on me dying once? I didn't even get to fight Doctor Salvador, really, he spawned, I holed up in the house and grabbed the shottie, I had to fight my way in there though. I just kept meleeing crowds and seemed to reach the kill limit quickly enough where I barely saw the guy.

Trepidation. They've obviously changed a lot, but the game itself seems ok. Seeing the trailer made me more nervous, the acting is worse, the dialog has dumbass "haha this is fun" shit in it. I know it's fucking fun it's a minecart level. Fucking hollywood ass writing.

A professionally made demo is in general going to treat the player gently. The whole point of a demo is to make the player feel really good at the game. The original demo to RE4 was pretty much the same. It's a nice showing from Capcom that they hid the TMP and Mad Chainsaw mode to give the fans a better sampling.

I'm actually happy that the parry mechanic looks to be far from essential in playing the game. I think a major part of the fun of Resident Evil is being given the freedom to develop the playstyle to your fashion. Hence why hardcore fans develop their own "run" limitations like "No Merchant" in RE4 or "Knife Only" in the classic games.

I really like the stealth mechanics as seen in the demo. It's not Metal Gear Solid and nor should it be. It reminded me of what I think Capcom did best with Resident Evil 2's remake in that the Lickers were nervewracking for me in hardcore mode.

As an aside I've warmed up to the Hot Topic Ashley outfit. It is admittedly ugly as hell and I doubt I'll ever use it especially since I'm not gonna shill out for Deluxe Edition DLC until it's dirt cheap. But the game is set in 2004 and Hot Topic was a place chicks went to. Those Baroque costumes are trash though they should just admit what fans have known for years and let Leon cosplay as Dante (DMC1 was once a Resident Evil 4) and let Ashley dress like Trish.
 
Reviews are out and while generally positive a running theme between the reviews is that apparently close to 100% of the humor and one liners has been stripped out in favor of an overwhelmingly serious and somber tone.

Also Separate Ways has indeed been cut.
