What about dead aim where the bad guy is sephiroth and becomes a woman with breasts for no reason at all when he becomes a tyrant.
Is she the one from 8? The same one that coomers on social media keep making fanart and memes on?

no. dead aim. Resident Evil: Dead Aim. ps2 game designed for the guncom, its called survivor 3 in japan because they treated all the light gun games as a spin off series. But aside from its aiming gimmick dead aim plays more closely to a traditional classic RE game or at least an RE:lite.

Technically it was Survivor 4, since Survivor 3 was Dino Stalker and that one was more of a Dino Crisis 3 than the actual Dino Crisis 3 was.

No joke, I unironically liked the Gun Survivor spin-offs despite their flaws, at least the ones that got released in North America. Survivor and Dead Aim are basically just "Classic RE Lite" and the first-person shooter/light gun thing is just a gimmick more than anything else.

i hate how they changed the name of the original instead of calling the new one REx:remake. The original game shouldnt need a qualifier.

Also i wish we'd get the proper up to date version of re5 with mercs united.

the dlc for DR3 that allows 4 player coop

case west and case zero

the updated version of dmc3 with coop full arsenal and style switching which even mods cant do full arsenal.

Why does capcom keep doing this?

As this is the largest Capcom related thread, and there is no dedicated Capcom thread, does anyone know which Capcom USA employee was responsible for the drag and tranny debacle? I can't remember who it was specifically(It might've been Andy Wong?) but I believe they previously worked at Sony. Anyone know have any clue what I'm talking about

RE5 was the original game that changed things to appeal to whiny journalists because of violence towards niggers. I cant see how they could change it anymore.
Remember when RE5 was shown to have more than 6 or so enemies on screen at once? Though I am glad the survival stuff about heat and food got scrapped maybe REmake 5 can implement them as a way to stand out from the original similar to how REmake 4 made its gameplay changes and focused on tighter resource balancing to at least justify its existence compared to the orignal.

RE5 had so much potential, I'm still disappointed with what we got. The game drops off the cliff once you are done with the Africa portion of the game, it's clear that's where the early point in the development was and then they phoned it in by recycling the same old boring caves, labs, military bases we've seen already. Even the boat level that I am pretty sure is supposed to spiritually be similar to the Island stage of RE4 falls flat, game kind of redeems itself with Wesker at the end but the entire middle to late game portions were fucking boring.
Wish the entire game aside from the last few stages took place in Africa. Increase the amount of enemies and add the heat/food mechanics to keep things interesting, I wouldn't mind.

There was nothing wrong with Ashley's AI in RE4 OG and anyone saying to the contrary is just reciting the hivemind to just hate on that Ashley when she was only annoying is Mandela Effect bullshit. Her path finding AI was Terminator laser focus and she would be glued to your ass no matter what.

The AIs of her and Luis in RE4R is some of the worst I've ever seen in a AAA title. Especially Ashley in the church escape. It felt nearly impossible to get the fuck out of there with her.

4 didnt have coop. Are you referring to ashley? One of like 3 escort ai's that were actually made well? There is no better tell than when someone goes "haha leon help" Because you only hear that line when you're playing poorly.
back then, people hated Ashley with a burning passion beacuse they were scrubs at the game. i like to think people know better now.

To this day, the best online RE experience I've ever had was the two Outbreaks. It still holds up today, it just needed mic support. Maybe I'll play some of it this weekend on the private servers.

I like using the tracker app so you can see all the other player's inventories/health and see where they're at all times.

I fucking loved Outbreak and File 2, hardly anybody talks about them anymore. It was almost certainly the first console game I ever played since it was still somewhat infantile at that point, when you had to get a network adapter to stick in the back of your PS2 [the old fat ones] and run Ethernet from your DSL modem. It was slow as shit but it blew my mind anyway and you could half-assed communicate with the dialogue option buttons. I still have no idea why Capcom [nor anyone else] has ever attempted something like that again now that online console gameplay is basic bitch shit. First online PC game I remember really playing was Doom, followed by Halo PC and BF1942 but Outbreak was the first online console game. Outbreak really was elevated by playing with actual humans because they wouldn't just pick up a key item and run off across the map to fucking die first thing like the AI and then you have to go find their corpse to progress. Or the AI would hoard all of the ammo/healing items for themselves on occasion.

Has anyone here tried a Randomizer before? I don't know if every RE game has this mod included, but basically the game remixes every single variable to something else: Items in crates will always be randomized, enemy encounters will always be randomized(but the number of enemies will be the same) and so and so forth. Only content that is needed to progress is 100% guaranteed, but the game might be impossible to finish due to an unholy difficulty spike or not giving you enough resources(especially early on). On the other hand, the game might also create unintentionally hilarious results or let you get a really good weapon early on, or maybe force you to use items you would have little need for in normal gameplay. It looks very chaotic, in a good way.
I'm interested in replaying one of the games in a randomizer, but I'm still thinking which one.
For reference, Max Dood completed RE2 and RE4(originals) randomizers, to give you a clue how a playthru like that looks like

I first found the randomiser by Dechaps for RE2 back in 2020 and played the shit out of it for years. Then I moved onto the RE1 and 3 randomiser before recently discovering Biorand and now I'm autistically balls deep into that. Randomisers for the remakes are gay.
