The director talks about how it's a series habit to do swerves in the narrative.

Actually mentions Jake by name.

Remakes love has always confused me. It's great and I really enjoy it, but it never felt like it replaced the original RE1 to me, but some people gush about it so hard I just don't get it.
Because the first REmake is still the same game as the original, but with updated graphics, some added content, and a few QoL changes. It's what fans were hoping for and Capcom delivered.

Just played through Resident Evil: Survivor.

It Sucks, Don't Play it.
It’s sequel Dead Aim is unironically kinda kino, if only because the villain troons out and then becomes a disgusting blob. I don’t think Sphere Hunter likes that game very much.

HEROES NEVER DIIIIIIEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, I'm thinking kino. Seriously tho, game has a great atmospheric feel to it.

Also, a lot of people don't know you can you a mouse & a keyboard, so you get what might be the most accursed way to "efficiently" play a game I've ever seen.

I kinda do this too, but damn that's bad to look at.

Thankfully the power of emulation makes it a normal game.

He indeed doesn't.

just build it yourself, its cheaper and a child can put them together in about 15 minutes.
Given the price of fucking RAM modules nowadays, a prebuilt might actually be cheaper - if you can even get one.

I liked Dead Aim - it was a good time, especially with a light gun. But holy shit, the CGI, voice acting, subtitles and audio mixing left a LOT to be desired. The subtitles never match what's being said by the characters [presumably a translation issue], Bruce sounds like he's been dosed with Klonopin and Dilaudid and just got back from the dentist's office having been loaded up with Novocaine, Fongling sounds the same except she's a chink. The music is actually pretty good IMO but the audio mixing is terrible, certain sound effects will come across the speakers and blow your fucking ears off after a fairly quiet moment. Seriously Capcom, I don't want to need fuckin' Beltones at age 45 because of this fucking bing bing wahoo.

I get why it has to be there but the screen going totally white every time you fire a weapon [especially the machine gun] is obnoxious and could probably induce a fucking epileptic fit.

Jakes's a weird one, he shouldn't work, but he did, and he was by far the funnest character to play (and completely overpowered)..
Nah he totally works. They found a way to let us play as Wesker in a full on story mode.
Capcom usuually loves running shit into the grave with recurring characters in their stuff.
They stick to what’s popular. They know people like Leon and Chris so they keep bringing them back.
She's too old for him. He's still pining for 18 year old Rebecca.
100% he still wants her throughout the years.
Jake’s mom must’ve been a nightmare to be around lmao.
That's why he never did anything to Excella, even though she was flapping her big ol Itallian mozzarella milkers all over him
Nah, Wesker definitely used her for his needs. She’d not stick around if he didn’t.

Well he's Troy Baker which despite memes is a good actor. He sold the cocky rebel well and as the only mechanically unique character in 6 they did a good job selling how capable and confident he is in a way that's silly but without him being in on the joke so that he as a character still feels genuine.

6 has a lot of cognitive dissonance to it where the story gets incomprehensible. I still don't have a fucking clue what sherry is explaining to us at the start of Jake chapter 2 for example. But I think the characters are a pretty consistent success. Helena, Jake and Piers are all well performed characters that are immediately likable even as new characters. Helena's the only one that may be a bit annoying at first but by the end you're probably gonna be endeared to her.

Jake made me realize the original idea for devil may cry being in the RE universe could actually have worked.

well he obviously had a little of the Tism, the awkward way he acted with Excella for instance.
From what Ive read, as soon as Wesker realized he's not a normal born human, he immediately lost his sex drive and became obsessed with the whole perfect race deal. He became way more unhinged and less smug calculating.
