Tell me who sherry is really married to you son of a bitch!
Yes.Wait, were people saying HUNK wasn't Canon? In this thread?
My initial opinion on Musk Golem changed recently. He's not just some super hype fan. Musk Golem is clearly an access media games urinalist. The reason he sometimes gives out accurate leaks is because he's a media hack who is given out this information to spew. But he also makes up bs when it suits him. The reason he is clearly an access media urinalist and not a fan coming up with a bunch of bs theories that people enjoy is simple. He thinks RE5 is racist. Throughout my life, only games urinalists have had that retarded opinion. Prior when I made the fan theorizer opinion he hadn't been vocal about his retarded RE5 takes. Fans will have opinions and theories of all sorts of brainrot. But not a single one will ever be that retarded.Allegedly there’s a Code Veronica remake releasing next year. I normally don’t believe the sewage that Musk Golem vomits, but an actual leaker (that wasn’t him, because he’s fake) said it’s in development so I’d believe it is.
I've never really understood this kvetching about what "feels" like an RE. You niggers whine and complain when you get a couple bottle narratives that mix things up, then whine and bitch when Capcom brings you back to Resident Evil 2 over and over. So what is it? Zombies and Leon forever? More Weskers? The RPD and Umbrella labs again and again?Despite those games (especially 7) being self contained games and not really feeling like RE games…The stories are just awful.
I literally don't understand how. Not even good by new RE standards.like 3make but it’s a damn shame how cutdown this game is.
I would sacrifice Remake 3 for a fully fleshed out 8, easily. Remakes are slop and they only manage to stand out as decent because a bad re-imagining of 2 is better than 99% of all survival horror games on offer in the market today.Imagine if they never made 7 or 8 and put all that time into the remake trilogy.
It's fun slop though. Even 3make as bad as it is, is comparatively great against most of its competition. I agree though that developing the remakes was retarded. An updated port of the series 1-6 with borderless windowed as an option alone would be better value. But they are all fun. It's weird, outside of their pathetic attempts at live service using everything but Mercenaries (which would be the literal goat if they got their brain cells working again), nothing in Resident Evil has ever been bad. Ok survivor 2. We don't talk about that pos. I can enjoy every single player game, outbreak, and Gaiden though. But yes, they should have just made 8 better instead of the Remakes. RE8 is also fun, but the level design is a big step down from 7. Honestly 3 Remake, Village, and RE4 Remake all are far too linear. At least 2 Remake has some backtracking and things you can do in different orders.I've never really understood this kvetching about what "feels" like an RE. RE has always had pretty wildly different settings and games and tones between games in the franchise, it is what gives the series longevity.

Because you’re a goofy pea brain who does nothing but repeat the words “Slop” and “Soulless” ad nauseam like plenty of others do on this site and in general.I've never really understood this kvetching about what "feels" like an RE
Some of that, yes I do want. Zombies and viruses are intrinsically RE but there are other things that make sense and have worked, like the parasites of 4 and 5. The mold could’ve been an interesting concept but it just wasn’t executed properly at all.Zombies and Leon forever? More Weskers? The RPD and Umbrella labs again and again?
8 was a half step in the right direction and then a complete lateral turn and sprint leftwards.I would sacrifice Remake 3 for a fully fleshed out 8.
Oh yes, you're so enlightened and intelligent, definitely a unique and bright soul. I didn't use the words "slop" once in that post, but it absolutely describes Remake 3 and remake culture in general.Because you’re a goofy pea brain who does nothing but repeat the words “Slop” and “Soulless” ad nauseam like plenty of others do on this site and in general.
It was a welcome tonal shift, the series has pastiched almost every kind of horror at some point. I fail to see why a virus could turn you into a giant meat T-rex or a fly but not something roughly equivalent to a vampire, it's one of the easier aspects to believe about the entire franchise.8 combined the mold with parasites but the monsters coming out as weird werewolves and vampires and stuff was an odd tonal shift.
They haven't been that since 4 back on the PS2 and Gamecube, dude. They've been B movie action slop since then, 7 was absolutely a semi-cheesy B horror movie though it was slightly different in that it was emulating redneck slasher films. God forbid they do something slightly different while simultaneously being the closest game in structure and tone to RE1 since... RE1.The old Resident Evil games were supposed to invoke the feeling of semi-cheesy B horror zombie flicks inspired by George Romero and the like
You can not want it I don't care I am still right though. RE fans whine and bitch just like that then get Fanservice : The Game and bitch about that too.vampires and h’witches or any of that Gothic Horror stuff in my RE.
How are werewolves and vampires hard to believe when Wesker had more vampiric powers than the actual fucking vampire? Wesker literally turns into mist and is nigh indestructible until he's overloaded with a vaccine to cause him to slow down, and even then he's still busting through solid steel walls multiple inches thick and running fast enough to dodge bullets, though not go acorporeal like he was doing just one fight before. Seriously, RE5 exists, it's also slop to be fair, top tier fun slop, but slop nonetheless. The only problem with 7 was the lack of enemy variety. Otherwise it's the best in the series in terms of actually being a survival horror since the RE1 Remake. 8 also isn't bad, but clearly unfinished and like 3 make, far far far, too linear. One thing that made classic Resident Evil so great was the exploration. You weren't ever stuck on a path, there were always different routes, backtracking to do, puzzles to solve, many could be done in multiple orders. RE8's problem is that it was a beta for RE4 Remake rather than its own game, Also, notice how you never mention anything bad about Nick Cage Magneto? Sure his character is peak but that boss fight is legit ass. Especially considering he has a legitimately good boss fight right before him and also the Uriel fight before that which is tied to Mr. Magneto. (how are your boss goons both better boss fights than you.) At least the Dimitrescu siblings were cool to fight the first time, Dimitrescu herself as well. Granted, only the final boss is actually fun of the main 5 after a first playthrough. Granted, unlike every other fight she is absolutely supernatural in nature, I can explain fungus making flies form a hivemind in the shape of a person, or bloating a man into a fishlike monstrocity, a fungus could even extend a magnetic pull with the right chemical reactions. (doll bitch is just drugs, it's even explained in a note so everything there is a hallucination). But the final boss, despite being fun af to fight is throwing suns at me, fungus isn't creating a fucking sun or blackening the sky. Peak fight tho,Because you’re a goofy pea brain who does nothing but repeat the words “Slop” and “Soulless” ad nauseam like plenty of others do on this site and in general.

RE is a lot more than just being “Scary”, having a couple puzzles and some back tracking.
The old Resident Evil games were supposed to invoke the feeling of semi-cheesy B horror zombie flicks inspired by George Romero and the like. Hence why Romero was brought on to make an RE movie back then.
Where it differs from a lot of these is that there’s a more of a science fiction twist on it. It’s a virus causing the problem instead of a supernatural reason.
Shady pharmaceutical companies and corporate espionage combined with laboratories doing experiments on biological weapons.
Again 7 is a fine game but Resident Evil is definitely not weird Texas Chainsaw Massacre hillbilly Outlast with blobby poop monsters…That’s a different game.
8 was a half step in the right direction and then a complete lateral turn and sprint leftwards.
I’m sorry that I don’t want all the aforementioned stuff from 7 or the werewolves, vampires and h’witches or any of that Gothic Horror stuff in my RE.
I personally don't care how the series goes as long as its fun. The series lore between games hasn't been consistent really since Code Veronica and especially 0. If the games weren't completely fine self contained I'd call the series more confusing than Kingdom Hearts. The only reason its not is you can play a game by itself and not run into any plot holes. But as soon as you add the rest of the series you're going to have holes everywhere. Hell, just the main games does this. And we're talking a series with 11 mainline games counting 0 and Code Veronica, 2 spinoffs to explain events leading to the 5th and 6th game, 2 spinoff games that are shooters (gun survivor and dead aim, gun survivor 2 is just code veronica again, we're doing the canon here), 2 mmolite games on that were released on ps2 instead of pc (oy vey Capcom, Outbreak should've been on PC), a side movie detailing the events of the original trilogy and Code Veronica, the extra events in Umbrella Cronicles and Darkside Cronicles, all the CGI movies including one straight to DVD I don't think you can find anymore, several Japan exclusive plays (yes these are all canon), and the shitstain that was Infinite Darkness, and... Even fucking Umbrella Corps (honestly the worst part of RE9 is that it confirms this shit is canon). This is just what is canon, there's books and comics which are sadly not canon and, spinoffs like Operation Racoon City and obviously the live action movies and tv shows which are thankfully not canon. I don't play RE games for the canon and anyone who does stopped playing after The Last Escape (granted RE3 OG is my favorite of the classic RE games). RE1.
8 is a B horror flick that leans into Victorian horror, Van Helsing type shit.
If we do George Romero over and over, which is a tone the series hasn't even really gotten close too since Resident Evil 3 on PS1, you're going to get a very boring and masturbatory series of games.
Also crazy to say that you like 3make when you are bitching about the series nlt being Romero style cheesy horror, when it is about the furthest thing from that in tone it could possibly be.
I'm not saying I never want RE to ever have zombies again or anything, but I feel the complaints about Requiem regarding being a retread are very strange given how much fucking whining people did when they dared to explore new concepts.
Great, yeah, we are 80 year old Leon fighting Mr. X again. That's literally what you are saying you want.
Resident Evil thrives off fanservice, the very reason the series is still so beloved at this point is they're all Fanservice : The Game. Even the original concepts we had with 7 and 8 were full of fanservice such as the Albert-01 or "Boulder Punching Asshole." Hell, even 3make understood to make Jill say the line (albeit way too early), and reference Jill's sandwiches as a restaurant. (and also the OG RE2 B ending music in the cafe, really dislike that they removed that from RE2 Remake and this is further proof 3make was just an overpriced DLC for 2Make).You can not want it I don't care I am still right though. RE fans whine and bitch just like that then get Fanservice : The Game and bitch about that too.
Personally, I wanted 9 to be another zombie outbreak too, but ideally in a locale we hadn't seen before. My vote was for a spooky coastal town, maybe give it some Cthulhu mythos leanings with some fish shit. Would've been cool.
Says you? Plenty of people don’t tho.It was a welcome tonal shift
Resident Evil 7 is nothing like Resident Evil 1 lmao.God forbid they do something slightly different while simultaneously being the closest game in structure and tone to RE1 since... RE1.
I literally never implied that.Great, yeah, we are 80 year old Leon fighting Mr. X again. That's literally what you are saying you want.
What’re you, 5?I am still right though.
I’ve got a game for you.My vote was for a spooky coastal town, maybe give it some Cthulhu mythos leanings with some fish shit. Would've been cool.
No?Otherwise it's the best in the series in terms of actually being a survival horror since the RE1 Remake
I want the games to tie into each other at least a small bit. Other than that I ateee that really each mainline game that isn’t 1 or 3 can be played by itself without ever having played any of the others. Eh no, 5 and 6 you kinda need to know a bit of what is going on.I don't play RE games for the canon and anyone who does stopped playing after The Last Escape
I didn’t say they were hard to believe I just didn’t like them. I didn’t like the Gothic Horror. How are werewolves and vampires hard to believe when Wesker had more vampiric powers than the actual fucking vampire? Wesker literally turns into mist and is nigh indestructible until he's overloaded with a vaccine to cause him to slow down, and even then he's still busting through solid steel walls multiple inches thick and running fast enough to dodge bullets
I'll also call you an annoying fag. What’re you, 5?
“I’m right and you’re wrong! Nah nah nah nah nah nah!”
RE7 and 8 literally do tie in a "small bit" you're just a dumb nigger autistic who needs the same shit over and over for your comfort franchise.I want the games to tie into each other at least a small bit
I don't care what you think, your opinion and taste is dog anus. Also not what I’d want in Resident Evil. Let’s not turn Resident Evil into Silent Hill
Typical opinion of homosexuals.I didn’t like the Gothic Horror.
I bit the bullet and played separate ways, decently fun, but holy shit.Replaying 2make and I will never understand why they got rid of the voice actress in this game. The lady in 4make is awful and sounded like she’d never done voice work before. Which apparently is true.
There's a mod that replaces all her lines with AI-generated ones created using the voice of the previous Ada voice actress. The lady in 4make is awful and sounded like she’d never done voice work before. Which apparently is true.
She became unionized between games so capcom passed on her because they're cheapskates when it comes to hiring English voice actors.Replaying 2make and I will never understand why they got rid of the voice actress in this game. The lady in 4make is awful and sounded like she’d never done voice work before. Which apparently is true.
I don't see why they couldn't do it.I highly doubt they would ever explore this side of horror, but a post-apocalyptic industrial horror-themed game would be interesting
If they're going to keep pumping out these games, then naturally experimenting with different horror themes only makes sense from a creative POV, but most hardcore RE fans are the types who liked all the 10 Freddie films, basically derivative low-effort fan service works (as mentioned before) that are a nightmare for creatives but great for money-hungry executives.
The Victorian theme was great and only makes sense since most modern horror comes from Victorian horror, so why not!? - I'm pretty sure they saw how successful Bloodborne was and got inspired. They could even explore medieval horror as well with the use of swords, bows, spears, and alchemy. Could easily throw in medieval demonology for references too.
I highly doubt they would ever explore this side of horror, but a post-apocalyptic industrial horror-themed game would be interesting - it could take references from Tetsuo the Iron Man, the movie Hardware and the industrial music scene of the 80s and 90s, as seen in the Heisenberg factory level in RE8, which felt like you were in a NIN or Rammstein music video.
