Shes in RE8, the shittiest game in recent memory so she's already at a huge disadvantage.

Wesker is in RE1, REmake, Zero, CVX and RE5.

While compelling, and technically correct case here it's still true she is comically overpowered in a series where the good mutants get a weaker version of the powers.. Rosemary stands out as stronger with Mold than Miranda.

She has to be shelved indefinitely, she could kill an army in seconds

I think Rosemary is being kept under wraps in-universe; Village took place in early 2021, Rose's DLC took place in 2037, and RE9 takes place in late 2026, so Rosemary would only be about 5-6 years old during Requiem. From what I read about the lore, I think Chris and co. were trying to give some semblance of a normal childhood and raise her right, and given that we know that the BSAA is compromised and The Connections are a threat, it makes sense they'd keep Rose hidden as much as possible.

I could actually see Rose as a protagonist for a future RE game; given her abilities, coupled with her being raised/trained by Chris and co., she could be a new MC in a game down the line.

Played through RE 9 up to the final grace section last night. Saw tofu hanging out at RPD its peak, 10/10 thats all i needed.

A more action oriented game where it's a squad of Sentient B.O.Ws that are good, and tamed non-sentient ones sent in to incredibly FUBAR situations could be cool, such as the much speculated Nemesis T-00 who regained sentience and possibly escaped which caused them to condition future ones and have him be the near non verbal muscle of the group, Rosemary who can raise temporary Mold units, Jake with his martial arts and other shit..

Put Jill in charge due to her immunity and she could have a tense relations with the good Nemmy

Really? All the Raccoon City memberberries are doing the exact opposite for me, make me want to play the game less. RE7 and RE8 did something right by changing up the locales, and now we are going back to the franchise sucking itself off and once again I feel myself caring less because of it. I would rather actually play RE8 than this, it's actually on my backlog but the first person turned me off too much. RE9 isn't even close, it just looks like a mess.

The only live service idea they could possibly make money on is mercenaries or raid mode. Which is why it's even more retarded they haven't tried yet. Seriously Capcom. Mercenaries and raid mode as a live service game. Put it on modern consoles and pc. Your wallets can thank me later.

Re4 remake where they gave each character a special power mode and weapon set then put them on a present map with rotating chicken spawns and time and special bonuses where you killed 150 enemies in quick succession to gain maximum points while occasionally fighting mini bosses? Outside of re4 og that's what mercenaries has been. Re5 had the best maps and Re6 had the best gameplay. Re4 really was the same anyway except head shot and melee kills didn't increase your time and you could kill indefinitely. The only thing they really did was replace the combo boxes with powers. It's not incomplete at all. The real issue is that there's still only 4 maps like the og. They need at least 6 to really be worth it for it's own game and 12 if they wish to make it cost 60 bucks. However it Capcom is smart they'll develop the maps from their re engine games because I'm sure most of these games have about 4 or 5 perfect locations each. So they absolutely can. Willing is the debate. But they easily can and with 0 issues.
 
Finished Requiem today, liked it way more than I thought I would. Far better than 8, but not as good as 7. I kinda enjoyed it more than the 4make. With the ending and Grace's report, did anyone else get the vibe that they're kind of wrapping this storyline up in preparation for maybe a game or two more, then a full-blown reboot?
 
they tried thier first liveservice for RE with RE6 using the RE.net, you gain points through doing daily and weekly quests and redeem special costumes for mercenaries. also they did it REV2
 
DLC 1 is about Alyssa before she got murdered by Gideon.

DLC 2 is about a mission Leon was on in Europe during the events of RE7.

Mercenaries is coming as a free update.
