I do prefer Leon and his spontaneous double backflips in 4 though

It's really milquetoast tbh outside of a couple games. It went right into action shooter with RE2 1998. But that's not necessarily a bad thing since they wanted to up the ante since RE1 was so successful.

The only ones that bothered me were RE1 and REmake but that was because I was a kid at the time. Although I still see REmake is the reigning champ for overall atmosphere and creep factor. The sound design and visual direction are the cream of the crop. All these newer games are very generic, predictable Americanized slop. Fun to play, but the horror has nearly never existed in this series bar a few games and even fewer moments in between.

It's TERRIFYING seeing yellow paint everywhere, spoonfeeding you like a retard on what you should be interacting with to progress.

Between Chris from 1 to 5 and Leon from 2 to 4 who had the most radical transformation?. Chris went from getting carried by a 18 year old girl to punching boulders in a volcano to save the world. Leon went from a rookie cop asking zombies if they're alright to backflipping through laser grids to save the president's daughter.

Leon, he was destined originally to be a Cop for a medium sized city and nothing more, litearlly just patrolling around and pulling over drunk idiots, Chris was already a fucking ex-pilot and was vetted by Wesker because he excelled so much.

Leon would go on to become the worlds most well trained and prestigious Fed Glow-agent working directly under 2 Presidents to shut down B.O.W. terrorism and single handedly saving the Prez's daughter from a Cult (well with the help of a Chink Spy and a Heli pilot) in a story that would be so bombastic and lauded that Leon would be considered a living National Hero and every Federal Agent from then on would be talking about him.

Chris certainly stepped up, but he until 8 works under people as a Squad Leader, also people tend to die in his service, alot.
 
I hate the feminization of Resident evil. There's multiple articles on shipping leon right now, the writers are getting hassled by fat ugly women all over twitter photoshopping shit. So the writers are no longer willing to interact with the community because they can't trust them. I miss when the games were about the cool monsters and gameplay. Not fucking shipping wars where access to the developers is all about rubbing one out instead of understanding how the game was made and what we didn't see/might see going forward.

I also want data miners to fuck off and stop ruining things. There's a mystery puzzle in RE9 that requires very specific steps to beat. It's supposed to be something the community solved together and got a real life puzzle to solve like in the games. Lol data mined within hours and multiple videos and articles on it. They just looked up the triggers and the mystery was handed to them on a plate. No skill, no community, no puzzle solving.

The days of resident evil being fun horror games died when RE7 hit it really big and brought in complete cancer. All these remakes have done nothing to help it and now it's just a brain rotted community. Where any slop is welcome because boulder punch and laser flipping. And the old "RE was always supposed to be a B movie" which is and was always bullshit. Japanese studios making a game in the 90s when they could barely speak English make crappy dialog. It wasn't intended to be bad, it was just Japan being Japan. But the retcon of "RE was always a B movie" or "Silent hill is Lynchian" have become the main opinion because everyone is down stream from youtube.

Shinji has stated that George Romero's Dead Franchise and his previous game Sweet Home were inspiration.
I dunno if you can call that B Horror or not, but regardless, your just a hateful little shit who doesn't give a fuck about this franchise and really has no reason to post here other than whining about Requiem (it certainly has faults but nothing like you make it out)

Eat more sloppy piggy. Don't have opinions, don't expect quality. Eat the slop. Marathon is a 10/10 game. RE9 is 11/10 because.. it just is okay? Try getting some standards and not just consuming modern garbage. You can't even refute anything said because it's all true and if you look into discussions online you will see the same things I'm saying every where. You have to make up a strawman to defend your million dollar company.

I was playing RE before you were born. This isn't the first time the series went to shit. There is a reason why RE7 was a complete reboot. 1-2 are good, 3 is a shit show. 4 reboots the series. 5 is good, 6 is a shit show. 7 reboots the series, 8 is good and 9 is a shit show. It's the RE cycle. And the only difference is they're remaking games instead of making spin offs. And most of those have been shit shows too. Remake 2 and 7 are the only good modern capcom games. The rest are just pure slop and you will notice they're the right games using that gameplay style before as always capcom shits the bed.
