She had the personality of a wet napkin I really couldn't stand RE4R Separate ways. Baffles me that all the RE remake LARPers on Xitter usually pick her as the favorite, they could have at least chosen someone with charisma to lie about being a fan of. Also, I know she played Ada in the live action welcome to Racoon City movie, anyone know if her performance in that was shit or nah?

She was there for like 5 seconds in a post-credit scene, I had to remind myself of her when I read your post :)

Rant about Ada:
I hate that she was ever a recurring character. She works perfectly in RE2 and that's it.
She never progresses as a character, always in that fucking dress regardless of context, always flirting with Leon and getting him to do stuff, always dropping a gun for him at the end to kill the last boss.
It's fucking annoying. The original RE2 left it ambiguous whether she was even alive since she took a hit from Birkin and would turn without an antidote.
The absolute worst was of course RE6 where she's flying around on grappling hooks like fucking Batman for half the game.

She worked once in the entire RE history and never again.

The REmake4 Ada thing was wild. I remember playing it and fucking pausing the game during a cinematic with her in it because the voice acting was so atrocious. It was the first time in my entire gaming life that it ever yanked me out of a game completely, mostly because even though I'd heard tons and tons of bad VAing over the years, I'd never heard anything obviously unprofessional and poorly done as this in a AAA game before. It was genuinely shocking. And of course they tried to spin a story about harassing the poor actor.

The hate on Jill isn't at all undeserved, but it's still forced as fuck. She wasn't a good character, but the people bitching about her are only bitching to bitch.

She was the worst part of the remake. A great 3D model ruined by that awful performance. She's the female equivalent of Yong Yea.

i guess it's not canon that ada wanted a kiss from leon...
also on RE2R they fucking kith so yeah they can't even use that shit as a excuse as to why ada was so cold towards leon on RE4R.

RE6 is kind of expleened because of her enhancements and the equipment she still owns since RE4, but that's the campy RE so who knows it that will be kept.. i mean she still has he grappling gun on RE4R...

They had to make her a girl boss because for whatever reason Capcom listens to Xitter stans these days.

I saw it mentioned earlier in this thread but god I hope they don't bring her into some dlc for Reqium, I was already worried she might be in the base game anyways. It just seems unnecessary, was 6 her last cannon entry btw?

if anything clarie popping up in requiem would be funny, no i won't buy the DLC and will use CreamAPI, fuck you crapcom, i liked the campy shit in RE.

I never got the feeling she was being cold to him. It always seemed like flirtation to me. Her monotone voice was on purpose to portray her as a stoic "I'm only in it for the money" idea, until the end when she betrays Wesker.
I can see how it doesn't land for some, but a lot of it is just people reaching for an excuse to hate it.

It's more a problem of every word she speaks sound like she's in pain. This doesn't sound like a human being this sounds like forced bad acting. Her character model doesn't match her voice either and it also might be bad mixing? Something sounds so viscerally off about it the second you hear it.

Could be, but I'm in the minority that the voice in OG RE4 for Ada didn't seem right either.
I guess it's a point where OG Ada sounds TOO excited, and RE4 remakes Ada doesn't sound excited enough.
I haven't played OG4 in ages but I didn't think her voice matched her character model in that either.

Though iirc OG Ada's voice sounded way more "seductive".
