That was the point of the modified T-virus in the game, it allowed memory retention and injection, they were trying to put Spencers memories in them with it

That’s not how memories work but ok! :blart:

Maybe you can throw an argument for genetic memory (even tho it isn’t the same) but virus doing that is legit entering magic territory now lol.

Also don’t throw the whole “oh, with all the unrealistic stuff , you draw the line here?” Because fuck you

Don't get mad at me, I'm just telling you the plot

I mean, the failure of the project and Spencer's attempts to utilise genetic memory is a pretty big plot point, so

It's just a tourist fandom now.
"I bestow upon your identity-centric franchise.. Mainstream appeal!". Ever since the REmakes it has been going doonhill. Entire 5-figure patreons dedicated to porn mods in a horror time-attack arcade shooter.

Yet, it's one of those franchises I own in its entirety (minus requiem) and just.. haven't beaten. Horror is one of the genres I've yet to explore and I know RE is a light take on it, so it'd be perfect, but man. I do not deal well with stress.

Jill was almost killed off in 5 and she had one game featuring her as a protagonist since the 90s (not counting Chronicles) iirc. Chris has been overused too, at least he isn't a faggot.

It still baffles me how fucking horrible the writing and characters in RE2R was, and the original wasn't exactly Shakespeare either. Crapcom is so fucking bad at this, got to congratulate them on making people somehow take this "continuity" and retarded universe seriously for all these decades.
The bar for gaming is that low I feel. Re2make and 3make both had about over half the game cut but RE2make gets the praise and 3make gets shit on. People think 7 is the scariest game in the series ffs.

Havent played Requiem yet but I must ask, with the least amount of spoilers, do they ever explain how this T-Virus syndrome nonsense works? And how the hell it wasnt detected before? Hell, why the hell this isnt affecting the STARS survivors minus Jill, who we know would have theorically have the T-Virus residing in their bodies for longer than even RC survivors? And what prevents just some basic T-Virus vaccine from countering it (since at this point, the T Virus is easily one of the most known and researched viruses after R.C)?

I know RE's plot is no stranger to retcons but this one feels particularly bizarre and ass pull-sh, all just to have "Oh beloved legacy character is dying!" (which is like, second or third time this happened to Leon).

Besides, we knew from the start they wouldnt kill Leon, newcomers are far more likely to kick the bucket than legacy characters.

The PS4 store was having a deal so I was able to nab 4 original and 1 remake for cheap. I'm 1 hour in and the puzzles are already kicking my ass, fun tho. Really makes you have to think.

Just finished my no herb no blood Sampler run, game is pretty good until the racoon city parts, it's nice to have a self contained environment as Grace.

As far as T virus syndrom I honestly remember little. Leon gets lumped into the plot for a separate reason and just happens to be suffering from it. Not revealed till the end that somehow Elpis is related. As far as I remember the only references to the other main characters are Chris's jacket and Jill's hat....literally no mention if they are also suffering and no reference to Claire.

Now that I'm thinking about it yeah the fuck didn't Capcom include some sort of reference if this is affecting the other Racoon city survivors. Honestly it's not a terrible game but incredibly underwhelming for the series' 30th anniversary.

RE story has never been solid but I recall the early entries to at least somewhat reference other characters. For example, and correct me if I'm wrong, but in RE CV Claire sends an email to Leon just updating him on info. That was fucking file, just text, not super difficult to design or implement. Sucks we couldn't even get a solid reference to the whereabouts of Claire or Jill. Super glad there's no Ada update though, I hope Capcom doesn't continue to feed the retards who think she's some sort of "deep" character.
