We all know that Resident Evil's plot became completely retarded when they decided to revive Wesker for Code Veronica.

On other note, new information.
RE3 will be bundled along with the Project Resistance as the multiplayer option for the game. I fear there will no longer be a Mercenaries mode. Also, I saw Jill using a benelli shotgun with a tactical buttstock. she also has a dodge move, but its more like Revelations 2 dodging system.

God, Im reminding myself on just how awful RE 6 was...its like I erased it from my memory after 7 but recent talks about it just reminded me what a trashpile "trying to appeal to everyone and yet no one at the same time" it was. I really think its a game filled with amazing setups but very poor pay offs. For example, we have a game with Leon AND Shery Birkin...why couldnt they make up a way for Claire Redfield to appear ? We could've had a RE 2 reunion, especially since Shery was always the closest to Claire (not that her and Leon werent close, especially when Claire kind of ditched them to go after Chris at first). But no, we have Helene who looks like a discount Claire right down to her reddish outfit (it doesnt help Helena was painfully unlikable to me, constantly blaming herself to a very annoying thing)

You know, it makes sense Jill can dodge roll. She is obviously more trained than even Leon was, he had cop training at most while she is an ex-military. RE3's enemies are more numerous and powerful than 2's for the reason to match a woman who not only had way more training but also has experiences with T-Virus's creations.

It's so weird to play as Leon and not be a Ganado-suplexing killing machine.

Indeed it is, I mean, the last time we played as leon was in RE 6 and things can get almost cartoonishly stupid there. So playing a more grounded Leon again felt refreshing.

Yes, RE6 is so fucking bad, the only nice thing I can say about it is grown up Sherry was cute and really deserved to be in a better game.

She was cute tho Im pretty uncomfortable when the game tries to sexualize her a bit, especially when her and Jake we almost naked. Im just like "dude, I know she is legal now but Im too used with her being a little girl", its one of the few bits of fanservice in the series that kind of made me cringe a bit.

Jill in a tight wet suit in revelations? Dat Ass is off the charts.
Sherry in a hospital gown? Nope, sorry game, Im too used with her being a little girl to like this.

Edit: I honestly think Sherry could be a good lead for future RE game, she is a significant character but now she is grown up, she can actually join in the action rather than just be something to constantly protect (and there was always this air of mystery over what happened to her after 2), that is until RE 6 where I think they kind of ruined her potential. There isnt much room for growth with her, she freaking has a healing factor from the G-Virus still in her body.
A talented writer would actually make this an awful thing, she has a healing factor but she would need maybe to give herself G-Virus antidotes or supressants all the time to keep any chance of her mutating into something her father became at zero. But no, she has super powers just like Jake in a way.

Fear is founded in loss of power, resident evil always had to walk an edge of playing a badass but not being to badass. Re 5-6 failed in that remark.
What I hate most is the co-op shit. Survival horror is the wrong genre to add co-op to. They're games you're supposed to play in a dark room alone. Dead Space did that too for some unfathomable reason.
RE6 is the absolute worst in that regard, it's unplayable with the AI.

I caved and pre-ordered since GMG sent me a 25% off thing. I really really hope Resistance isn't a janky shit show like the rest of those games look, because to me it seems like they know it wouldn't sell on its own and they can tack it on with 3 to help justify the games price. I'll certainly give it a shot since its there, and it will probably be the closest thing to Outbreak we'll ever get anyway even if they are miles apart.

There was an interview recently in regards to 3 and they said it would be more rearranged compared to 2, as well as more action which isn't very surprising. Apparently there is going to be more of a focus on the cast, Dario seems to be a real character this time (he's the guy saying he's not infected) who you meet rather than start with. Depending on how open the map is Mad Jackal could be pretty interesting as well, certainly room for plenty of characters given how many types of Tofu there ended up being.

It was awhile in RE2Make that I realized that you can kneecap and then knife them.

I've been playing a lot of REmake2 recently, just managed to finish off some HC no save runs for both Second Scenarios. Played with the remake soundtrack as well for once and goddamn is the music forgettable at best and trash at worst though, Hunks song is the only good one.

Also I didn't know that 0 was supposed to be on the N64 originally. Just saw some footage for it and for a beta of an N64 game it looks pretty damn good. I know there would be more memory available for that stuff since its not a full game but even then it really stands out.

Always had mixed feelings over Resident evil Zero...

On one side, I have guilty pleasure with prequels, especially when they're done well and this game might be the prettiest the fixed camera angle REs ever got. Also it was neat to play Rebecca as an actual indepedent competent character. The also team work aspect was also unique, especially since its the only one where its done in the Fixed camera main games (its actually really fun once you have someone else to control the other character and not the AI)

On the other however, I always felt like RE Zero took some of the mystery that made RE 1 so frightening, with Rebecca being the SOLE survivor of the Bravo Team, I mean...it adds to the terror over what could have possibly wiped out a team of very well trained and skilled fighters. Also it doesnt help tht Zero Rebecca feels like a different character than RE 1 Rebecca...hell, RE 1 Rebecca is intimidated and possibly killed by HUNTER when at that point she slaughtered dozens of them, also do they ever explain where her guns went? It makes sense she never mentions Billy to not hinder his chances at starting over as a free man.

It also doesnt help that Rebecca never appears in any major role after this and RE 1, outside of small mentions of her in RE 2 and 3. She does appear on Mercenaries but I dont count those. Since Capcom brought Barry and Claire back both at once in Revelations 2, we know they arent above bringing old characters back (I know some people will say she appears in one of those CGI movies but outside of the first one, I never bothered with the rest and I always were in the crowd that considers them non canon).

Them feels man, I still get em everytime I get to this part

Because of the letter from Jill you can now find in the shop I hope that means will get new scenes with kendo, it looks like he might be replacing that fat guy who locked himself in a container because he lost his daughter to the zombies.
