So I started RE6 for ps4 recently. Remember playing in on ps3 way back when it came out and never finished.
Really having a good time with it, but man I forgot how fucking jarring it is to start the leon campaign and just be THROWN into the narrative. in fact the way they structure the campaign is so crazy, there are fan guide on the proper order to play in. It's not so bad now that ive been following all the past side games and such, but I remember it was kinda jarring going from RE4/5 to this.

The Iphone app health interface is so dam dumb. Thank god you can turn it off, because I think half the reason I couldn't be bothered to finish the game was that eyesore taking up a quarter of the screen and doing a piss poor job of conveying information while not being distracting. The way health works bugs me too. There's no real indication that your seriously injured until you get knocked down. Pill system seems a bit eh, but there's some tactical resource management I can appreciate.
There's so much crazy shit they dont tell you about in the tutorial it's criminal. I had no idea you could duel wield and that there's a full on gears of war cover system for aiming near the environment.
Kinda crazy how fast paced this game is, the default speed would be a run animation in any other game. Definitely feels inspired by the live action and CG movies.
Shared ammo with the AI companions isn't too bad so far on normal difficulty. Although, it was amusing to see em unload a full clip into a zombie's chest after Leon gave his signature advice.
