There have to be some lawyers that would take some of these defamation cases for free with potential to take a cut of settlement money.
Not really. This isn't personal injury where there is almost always guaranteed money up front. For one thing, part of the whole procedure for handling Defamation involves trying to avoid the lawsuit in the first. While not "explicitly" required (depending on state) one of the first things you do is send a demand letter calling for retraction. If the other side does the retraction, then its basically over before it begins. That will be $2,000 please.

Nah, some retarded "journalist" will write an article about the tweet first, and wikipedia will cite that.
Found the “journalist”.

I can reasonably conclude that within the definitions of the legal term they are a "reasonable person" who has construed what Epik LLC just said about Kiwifarms to mean it hosts child pornography.
Throw that in the "proving damages" file.
The more the KiwiFarms haydurs want to publicly endorse Epik and it's epically wrong take the better.
Do any other smoothbrains on Xitter want to chime in?

I forget, do you even have to prove damages with per se defamation?

This one guy on Epik's side:

Has 6,000 gay and unfunny posts over two accounts here.
I would chalk it up to coincidence before jumping to conclusions. He's had a presence on the forum for a long time and I doubt he's dumb enough to use his forum pseudonym on Xitter of all places. (Feel free to prove me wrong on the Easy-to-Track Username thread of course.)

To me, this all but confirms that the original intern was an assmad tranny who went on an HRT rage-driven bender using the company account. It doesn’t matter, though. The damage has been done. When the official Twitter account for a well-known domain registrar says “this site had CP and the government made us drop them!” it’s etched into news and Wikipedia articles as indisputable fact regardless of the validity of the claim. The only fitting recourse I see here is legal in nature; an official and thorough retraction/apology and a hefty defamation settlement. “sorry our employee went off the rails lol” isn’t going to cut it.

And by the way, “what is CP? 5 employees see it differently” NIGGER WHAT? It’s not a moral or ethical dilemma, it’s a term with a fucking definition as defined by the law of every Western country on the planet; explicit pornographic material involving those under the age of consent. Disingenuous fucking faggots trying to rewrite the law to justify an irresponsible Twitter tirade containing clear-cut defamation. What a joke.

This keeps getting exponentially worse. Which employees "went rogue" on Epik and in what capacity did they act while "rogue?" Have they publicly announced before this flippant tweet that they had rogue employees? When I search Google for any information about this, there's nothing.

How can anybody trust a company which announces internal issues as severe as "rogue employees" in Twitter replies with disgruntled former customers?

Also, the idea that this web domain registrar in the year 2024 doesn't have a rigorously defined set of standards and procedures to comply with legal regulations in the identification or handling of child sex abuse materials being hosted on websites they're servicing is astounding even beyond the scope of the Kiwi Farms. There shouldn't be room for this "five employees see it differently" bullshit. Five janitors? Five senior executives? Fuck them; how does the law see it?

The layers of disrepute being fostered here are borderline cosmic. It looks like Josh's prayer paid off:

Lmao they can't even pay their bills on an ongoing basis. Settle for what? The piles of cash they don't have because they're going broke for reasons that should be abundantly clear?
