Genie was also strapped to a toilet, and isolated from the entire world in the dark for the first thirteen years of her life, was starved, beaten, and abused, and had extremely little human interaction, or experience of even human speech because her monster of a father did everything in his power to prevent her from ever doing so, or making any developmental progress because he was fucking insane, and hated any kind of sound. The family didn't even have a working TV, or radio in the house because he hated noise that much.

She also did learn to talk, but regressed because she was torn from the people that were actually nice to her, was dumped from one shitty foster family to another before ending up in some undisclosed institution somewhere.

Helen Keller by contrast had loving parents who did everything they could to try, and get her to succeed, was allowed to go outside, and experience life, and human interaction, and was not forcefully removed from them, and put in some shithole asylum.

The two don't even remotely compare, and acting like they do is literal subhuman nigger thinking.

Please explain how you would explain the concepts of "good", "pleasant" or "beauty" to somebody who cant hear or see.
She was supposedly an author, so please do explain how you teach language going beyond definitions of natural objects to somebody both blind and deaf.

There is none, the story is bullshit. Now its not Helen Keller who masterminded this scam, it was the people around her taking advantage of her to push their early social justice agenda under the cover of a feel good story.

I see the zoomers under that PKA clip video are making the same point. What makes you think being blind or deaf makes you incapable of understanding abstract concepts? She was never retarded, you can learn abstract concepts through sign language and Braille.

It's also not like it would be hard to do either. Just because she couldn't see, or hear doesn't mean she couldn't think, or didn't have feelings. She could understand things like pain, sorrow, empathy, joy, fun, etc simply because those things don't require sight, or sound to experience.

Honestly, I'm gonna echo what @Caesare said earlier, and say that despite how "progressive" zoomers claim to be, they're actually ableist fucks who can't comprehend the fact that just because someone's disabled that doesn't mean they're automatically stupid, and can't accomplish something.

I'd be curious what long-term feral chickens would look like. (Wikipedia has an article for feral chickens and where they tend to be found—the cities listed have a coincidentally high Hispanic population). They would eventually lose a lot of the breeding patterns and features, just like dogs would go back to brown or sometimes yellow medium-sized dogs. (Frenchies, pugs, and other small dog vermin would quickly die out).

I saw the video and it could just be the bad quality but I can't tell if she moved her eyes or not (I thought she might have). Glass eyes, even circa 1900, look convincing enough in photographs but not necessarily on a real person that moves around.

The whole glass eye surgery thing just doesn't sit well with me.

There is a problem growing with Urban Black Chickens in some parts of London, there are Darker coloured tougher meat birds more common in African cultures and them breaking out of pens and going wild.

Yea I've seen videos of wild dogs on islands, or deep forest and jungle etc it's amazing how quickly they sort out a survival genetics and matching colour pattern.

Genie was also practically deprived of almost all sensory stimulation for the first 13 years of her life, was never spoken to, and probably had some sort of mental retardation. Basically a feral child that lived in a cage. You try learning to speak after 13 years of psychological torture even Gitmo would shy away from.

My understanding is the current theory holds infants need to hear human speech in order to develop the ability to learn language. As it's obviously impossible to deny children interactions with adults in a controlled experiment, everything we know about the development of linguistic ability is based on abuse cases and abandoned children. It's possible Helen learned enough in her early childhood to eventually learn sign language, and it's also possible Anne Sullivan was "making up" her communications. It's not at all likely we'll ever be able to settle the question, but it is fascinating.

This was precisely my point - that they were both deprived of language during the critical language learning period, with Keller's case potentially being worse for language acquisition (being exposed to essentially nothing that could have symbolic content).

But HK simps don't wanna hear that...

You do not know what the "critical language learning period" is. Nobody does, since this has never been the subject of a controlled experiment. Keller was evidently normal until she developed scarlet fever at 19 months, which AFAIK is brought up in every history or dramatization of her case.
She and her parents also used home signs before Anne Sullivan arrived. Compared to that, Genie had much less exposure to social interaction.
Psychologists can watch video from a child's first birthday to help diagnose autism, so children that young have quite a bit of "social programming" under their belts.

Not blind OR deaf, blind AND deaf. How do you teach abstract concepts to someone who has been both blind and deaf from toddlerhood? How can someone read a book in Braille without verbal instructions? Dots on page mean this thing that I finger spell, okay. How do you teach basic stuff like the meaning and use of the word “however” through touch? I don’t really buy the claims about HK.
