Blog post. I bought a 400gb microSD to store all 6619 Nintendo DS roms on one flashcart. That's every game, every region, everything. I'm pleasently the flashcart, a SuperCard DSTWO, could handle such a huge microSD.
My man. DSTWO is probably still the best card in terms of raw performance and functionality (as long as you don’t value battery life), but mine has practically fallen apart over the years and is being held together by tape. To my absolute shock, their website is still up and they allegedly still sell them, but all the resellers I looked at either shut down, got shut down, or just don’t have them anymore. Given how big the DSPico is becoming, I wonder if someone will try to make an open-source DSTWO that can supports its proprietary emulators.

Kind of unrelated, but why 400gb? Most SD cards go up in bases of 2, shouldn't be 512? Plus the extra room would leave you some space for hacks and translations.
I have no idea how that works. Maybe it's a 512GB SD that got binned due to bad blocks. All I know is I got a good deal because someone else didn't need it anymore.
The full NDS romset unzipped is 353GB which left plenty of room for every English fan translation.

Which PS2 FPS games play better on emulation than native hardware? It's a genre no one ever touches or makes videos on. With full emulation control over sensitivity and better twin sticks there's got to be some good ones right?

PS2 really has a small number of worthwhile FPS that didn't end up on other platforms, significantly improved with more dedicated modding scenes. Black, Killzone, Cold Winter, HL decay are literally all I can think of. I think half life has a couple of ported campaigns but I don't recall hearing of any dedicated PS2 campaigns or anything. Most PS2 mods that aren't just translations, texture packs, undubs, or bug fixes tend to just be porting shit like vice city/San andreas mods as best they can into PS2, adding songs into guitar hero, or new vehicles into gran turismo. (or mods for budokai tenkaichi 3 but those dudes are on another level). And there's no true central repository for PS2 modding, so it's a total clusterfuck of youtube videos, dead megaupload links, and random mediafire zips to even try in the first place.

"Better than native hardware" is a real risky statement to make with PS2 still. There are problems like crashes, geometry fuckups. But, there are plenty of great texture packs. That said, a lot of texture pack makers have stopped because decomps are getting more popular and the most popular games are the only ones that people would put effort into, and they'd rather do that for a native-running decomp. Also, AI.
Most people really aren't considering sensitivity and newer controllers as a reason to emulate over native that I know of. Maybe in the netplay circles for SOCOM I suppose, but I'm not too familiar!

Most of them at this point, simply because you're playing them at more than sub 480p.

Some games like Snake Eater have annoying as hell graphical issues at very specific parts but for the most part almost every game you load up will play as good if not better than the native PS2 version.

PCSX2 properly emulated SH2's fog effects, so that's good enough for me.

As promised, here's the sequel to the ReTHAWed Sektur Smash Pack.

So does this mean nothing actually happened and they just wanted an excuse to shake a bunch of trannies and the easiliy offended off of thier fanbase at the same reputational cost as J.K Rowling sticking to her guns in terms of women's rights? I'm getting some real mixed messaging from this as if thats what they did, then thats the strangest method of gatekeeping I seen any mod devs try to do.

Trannies literally deserve nothing and them abstaining from the best Tony Hawk mod would be the best option.

These faggots will latch onto everything edgy and cool from the 2000s and try and neuter it.

I miss the ps2 days. Peak gaming. Skipping college classes in the later years of that generation to lay in bed and play games.
I honestly feel that earlier PS3 era was and is the ultimate console experience. You had linux and web browsing. You thus had voice chat. L/R2 were finally analog to play perfectly with racing games (even if you kinda wanted to get extension flares to make them into triggers). I will die on the hill that GT5 was the best one of the series - you had sweaty and super-chill and casual online play, with chatting; soundtrack was phenomenal; used cars weren't cut as a feature quite yet.
And the scary part is that PS3 is slowly becoming a retro thing...

All buttons on the DualShock 2 were analog, and the L2/R2 triggers weren't dogshit, so it is automatically better than either the SIXAXIS or the DualShock 3.

This is a long shot, but what's the best Apple IIGS emulator if I mean to use it for games? The last one I tried hadn't been updated for years, decided that because sound was mono only used one of my speakers, and had difficulty with my mouse. Quick save would be nice since some of those games aren't fair.

edit: Ooh, Crossrunner may fit the bill.
