Have you ever seen them in front of you when no one else did? Same year as my above post, in 1992, I was on a bus station bench dozing off while waiting on the bus with my mom (dad had the car and was in a different part of Germany for work reasons).

This mf Casper looking ghost descended down on me, almost in my face, put his finger to his mouth as if to say "shhhh," and then slowly lifted up away from me and faded out like cigarette smoke in air. I didn't tell anyone about it for years for fear of it returning and retaliating for telling on it.
Yes well kinda, on two counts my family knew what I was talking about but not to the extent as I experienced them and once i was the only person to have experienced it

Context on first two. Lived in a house built in the early 1910s, always had spooky shit happening. My dad's folks lived in it a generation ago before I did as a teen. There were 2 that they and I were aware of. The Hallway Runner and the Black Mass.
Hallway runner was something that would run down the hallway parallel with my room and I one time saw it through the hole where a doorknob was supposed to be on my door and it was just a white flash going down the hallway
the Black Mass was this like mass of like strands, almost like hair, made of complete darkness. My dad has said he has seen it exit from the basement and go into that hallway and Ive seen the damn thing in person in my room. Was playing Yuri's Revenge and I felt and heard a breath on the back of my neck and as I turned around I spotted in the mirror a black tendril that was reaching from out of sight to the back of my head. When I flipped around I saw that bastard in the corner of my room and I freaked. That house had the worst experiances Ive ever had, aside from being strangled. Like whispering when I wake up and being smacked in the face out of sleep. That house is now abandoned since my dad died and it looks far scarier than it did back then. I might still have pictures of it!

The strangling thing however, different house, I lived in the same room that my great grandfather passed away in and multiple times a week my throat would just completely close off and I couldnt breathe at all. And it would stay like that for a good 10 seconds each time and I could breathe again. This happened a lot while I lived in that room but when I moved away I never had it happen again.

When I was a kid, we had too many (6) cats. Whenever they would bring home dead mice, if they were in good enough condition, I would skin them and salt/dry/stretch the skins. I ended up being able to make half a fur glove before the cats all got too old to catch anything else.
I also tried this when one of the guinea-pigs died. But since my parents don't believe you can sharpen knives I barely got through the first layer of skin before giving up. And by that time I was old enough to feel a little uncomfortable.
I'd kinda like to try again with meat rabbits, eat the flesh, make stuff out of the skin and bone like my great grandparents did. But that's probably illegal in my country now.

Sounds like old good sleep paralysis and phenomena associated to that. Some building materials old houses are from, catch mold and release toxins which may cause immunity issues and bad sleep.

I get sleep paralysis myself, when I sleep in an unusual time of the day or am disturbed by outside sounds. Once I got strangled in my bed by some intruder, other times I got crushed by an overturned truck somewhere outside, or it was a collapsing sandstone tunnel. Once I was handed a threatening letter from a former friend, who IRL keeps trying to contact my sis. The transition between sleep and waking state was so seamless, that I started looking for the letter on the floor, until I realized the door is still locked and parents are still on holiday, so there was nobody to pick up the mail and bring it to me.

At some point when I was a teen one of my ribs broke for absolutely no reason and now there's just a rib that sticks out slightly more than the rest . No idea why it happened and I have vague memories of feeling the rib move when I touched it. Also never told anyone so I guess I'll never know why this happened

I broke my collarbone on a therapy swing set accident and it never grew back right

I was never asleep when it happened is the worst part. Itd be when I was watching tv in the middle of the day in that room or when working on my tablet. My throat would complete close up and Id jump up and run out of my room unable to breathe

This story sounds like utter bullshit, I've only ever shared it with one person because I would sound like a pathological liar if I told a bunch of people.
>driving on a deserted rural highway as a retarded nihilist years ago
>smoking weed through a bong, probably swerving all over as I grind, pack, clean the bowl, etc.
>some jackass starts tailgating me, I slow down like 10 mph below the speed limit hoping he will pass me and let me get back to my business
>he just stays on my ass, I brake check once or twice and he keeps following
>pull over onto the beginning of a dirt road and park there to let him pass
>my heart jumps into my throat as I see that it was a cop, he stares at me as he passes at like 20 mph
>already scared shitless, I turn around and notice that there are 2 guys in military fatigues holding guns standing next to a hum-vee parked in front of a regular-looking barbed wire gate
>I shoot my hands into the air as one of them says "you're not supposed to be here"
>"I-I-I didn't notice you. I just stopped to piss. I'm sorry."
>"Just drive home"
>"y-yes sir. Thank you for your service"
>I drive home with my heart pounding the entire time with no further incident

There weren't any publicly-known military bases in the area, it really was 100 miles from nowhere. Still have no clue why they were there.

I've had regular sleep paralysis for something like 15 years at least. It just kicked in as a teenager and is part of life now. I can't fall asleep on my back or I WILL be haunted by demons. It ranges everything from being physically assaulted to screaming witches in my face to sasquatch stomping into my room. Always fun.

Out of curiosity, do you snore a lot? It could be obstructive sleep apnoea affecting your oxygen levels. Sleep apnoea is often made worse by sleeping on your back, because all the soft tissue drops down into your nasal cavity and throat.
