RFK Jr.’s autism registry​

Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who’s been facing backlash over anti-scientific, offensive and belittling remarks he made about the basic abilities of autistic people, is launching a disease registry to track Americans with autism. The news raises a host of data security concerns, in addition to questions about how Kennedy might use the data to advance his conspiratorial and harmful health agenda.


Advocates for people with autism have decried Kennedy’s recent comments that autism is a “preventable” disease that “destroys families,” and Kennedy has hired a discredited vaccine researcher to investigate debunked claims that autism and vaccines are linked. So the idea that the health secretary wants to compile a database of Americans who have a condition he seems intent on spreading falsehoods about is more than a little suspect.

CBS News reports: “Between 10 and 20 outside groups of researchers will be given grant funding and access to the records to produce Kennedy’s autism studies.”

A lot of people would rather take advice from RFK over medical "experts" like Fauci who lied to the public to enrich themselves at the expense of public health. Is RFK perfect? Obvoiusly not no one is. Also the whole "brain eaten worms" is from his own words at a disposition. Those worms don't actually eat brain tissue. Here is an article on the subject. I just think that anyone who thinks the Us Government breaching privacy protocols with the guise of "we're only doing it to get "x" data" is pissing in the wind, if they breach the firewalls of confidentiality with the IRS and our Healthcare system, they will be amassing information on anything you could imagine, even if they don't tell us what their end goal is.

I am highly uncomfortable with this, and I think anyone regardless of belief or political persuasion should be alarmed these firewalls are crumbling.

I entirely agree. I think for the tard registry to work in the way RFK has outlined, it actually needs to cross reference data sources to be of any value. Knowing 'who is a tard' means nothing unless you can follow those individuals to see data on, say, their academic progress - did they graduate high school, did they graduate university. You also want to know if they get imprisoned at a higher rate than non-tards. If so, is their ofeending profile comparable to non-tards or do they disproportionately commit certain offences or types of offences. Is there truth in the trope about autists and CP, for example. You want to know if they are more likely to have significant comorbidities - do they cost their health insurers more. You want to know if they work, and if they work, what do they earn. You want their marriage and birth records to see if they get married and have kids at the same rates as normal folks. The tard registry has to show whether tards are different from the non-autistic, and if so, in what ways do their outcomes differ. The data to do this is held by the state, but siloed. If the go ahead is given for it to be un-siloed and cross-ref'ed, all shitposting aside, this will be the most invasive and comprehensive surveillance programme ever attempted on a group of Americans. And no one being profiled under it is being asked to consent, or even told they are participating. The data is getting directly pulled from medical records. This is genuinely a quite astounding piece of privacy invasion in the guise of public health 'research'.

Most of the people they are claiming are autistic aren't even autistic. They are fucking weirdos. Social misfits that belong on the human version of the Island of Misfit Toys. Autism was over diagnosed in the 2000's the same way ADHD and ADD was over diagnosed in the 90's. Nobody wanted to tell the parents they birthed a weirdo, so they said they were autistic instead because the parents handled that news better. Instead of blaming each other for their defective offspring. None of the shit they are saying caused the autism actually caused it. It's only 3 out of 10 people that are diagnosed with autism. It's not like it's 3 out of 5. The real cause is the population got bigger. More fucked up people were produced. Don't worry the population is declining and the numbers will go back down.

You know if they just treated HFA/spergers with therapy, socialization, and counselling like what worked for years and didn't spend the last decade subverting the perception of autism to tumblr/tiktok "influencer" fakery that "you can't get better from ever at all because that's masking" that'd be a much better solution than over-legislating shit once a-fucking-gain to lump people together even more than before.

From my experience and observations, shit tied to brain development isn't something you can really "cure" logically. As much wishful thinking there is by people who grew up with the tism to be rid of it, at this point in your life a "cure" would not work. Even if you somehow removed whatever part of you caused your brain to get like that in the first place you already spent your whole ass life and formative years with your brain developing as an autismo so it's literally just "you" to the point that removing any genetic variable would likely just result in you contracting some other issue down the line. Would not having autism make shit easier socially? yeah, maybe! But only if you didn't have it since you were a literal googoo gaga baby. You can't go back.
