Implementing an adhoc dynamic language in a statically typed language is an incredibly common task in professional software development. Many concepts simply can't be expressed in statically typed languages without introducing an "any" type.

I said that GNU/Hurd was just as much UNIX as GNU/Linux, because both Hurd and Linux were kernels for GNU, which was designed as a UNIX-like operating system. The choice of kernel for GNU was nothing to do with its UNIX-likeness. That decision had already been taken.

The main argument between Linux and Hurd was the argument between monolithic and micro kernel designs, with Linux winning, not least because it actually existed and worked.

I am looking for a room in a shared house or apartment as an interim place where I could stay for at least two months. Ideally I would have the option of staying for up to six months, but I could do without that.
I'd like it to be located within 15 minutes walk of a subway line (not counting the Green Line beyond Kenmore), or a high frequency bus line such as #1 or #77, or #71, #73 or #66. The point is it should not be so hard to get to Cambridge or Downtown Boston that it dissuades me from going.
There should not be a cat (unless hypoallergenic), or a dog that jumps up excitedly on people (unless quite small), or a digital listening device such as Echo, Siri or "Hello Google", or a card lock that records who opens the door. I will ask about cameras.
I'd like there to be a large supermarket in walking distance or close to a nearby subway station.

He does deserve it. The guy came from a rich family, never worked an honest day in his life and constantly told others they had no right to expect to make a living from programming. He was given special privileges and consideration by MIT while not being an actual contributing member of the faculty, he travelled the world on other people’s money to tell them how to think and live, and now the wheels fell off his gravy train. Couldn’t have happened to a more deserving guy.

If you raise an animal in captivity and release it to the wild, it will probably die. In his way, he's very limited and doesn't even see the way in which he's so. He should have grown up, but he didn't, and I doubt he's going to learn now. I find it hard to be mad at him or hold animosity against him, just tell him to stfu when he starts criticizing my ethics.
I too was incensed when he told Lunduke he shouldn't have worked for MS to feed his family, but RMS doesn't have a family to feed, and never will, so I just choose to ignore him when he's being an obtuse retard.

I'm looking for a roommate, ideally they will not rationalise the molestation of children in a public forum. I'd like them to shower at least once a day and change their clothes frequently enough that there are no odours or visible stains. The point is that you will be sharing my home and you should not make it so disgusting that it dissuades me from coming home.
You should refrain from picking dead skin off your feet and eating it in public, and you should get a job and pay for what you consume.
