Roiland legit has an incest fetish along with having a creepy pedo type attraction to the Summer character visual design (openly stating that he finds the character to be attractive even though she's explicitly under-aged).

For Harmon, his thing for incest comes from him being a god-awful edgelord type manchild who gets off on shocking people. Harmon knows incest is a button pushing topic that freaks people out and apparently one of the few taboo things Adult Swim will let him do on the show, so he's forcing it into multiple episodes solely so he can "trigger people" and laugh at them for daring to be offended by something gross and obscene.

Gotron was a horrible episode because it sums up the fact that Summer is a huge god-damn Mary Sue who NEVER fucking gets her comeuppance and is just as bad if not worse than Rick. To the point that I have to think the real reason Summers are banned from adventuring with Rick, is due to the fact that they inevitably betray their Ricks due to their inherent socipathic nature.

They replaced half the writing staff with women for season three.

Also, I'd argue that Season one of Rick and Morty was dogshit save for Interdimension Cable and Love Potion Number Rick and S2 was a hot mess of half decent episodes and half crap. And that season three onward at least started addressing the elephant in the room from S1 and parts of S2 that Rick was a monster and a villain protagonist.

I feel like the bethcest episode works for the most part because, while it is gross and weird, when they shift over to the kids and Rick being visibly disgusted over the prospect of their mothers and Jerry all fucking each other, I find it to be pretty funny since I can relate and share the pain of these characters being grossed out and they're not being forced into the gangbang, so it doesn't come off as too mean-spirited (yes, I know, very overused) to them.

The Jerry-mother one though comes off more like "Jerry torture porn" since this is clearly something he does not want to do and to see his family mock and tease him over the idea just makes me feel bad for the man + it really takes me out of the episode.

Of course, because Jerry is the normal Everyman of the series so he has to be tortured and forced into the degeneracy just like the people who think "They are totally the smartest person ever like Rick" think they should get to to the Normal Everymen in real life.

A thought I had on the Fortune Cookie episode, imagine if they replaced Jerry fucking his mom with Jerry being told he is going to say the N-word to a crowd of black people. Not only would it be funnier without changing nothing in the episode, but it would be considered the edgiest thing the show ever did.

So we've had Summer and Morty's DNA combined to make a "Giant Incest Baby"; Rick and Morty get possessed by aliens and profess their love for each other; Morty, Summer, and Rick take part in a spiritual mind meld with a dragon that is portrayed as a sexually gratifying orgy; Beth having sex with her clone; and now Jerry almost fucking his mom.

I want to assume that this is just the writers trying to be edgy and break the rules, but I'm starting to think that somebody in that writing staff has severe issues that need to be addressed ASAP.

My first post back since the site came back and I'm talking about incest...fuck.

I recently saw the whole Bethcest episode and thought it was hilarious. Maybe it was because Morty and Summer were naturally grossed out. Rick seemed more desensitized than supportive.

I'm tempted to go back and scour the few supposedly non-incest episodes this season for secrets just to stir up you weirdos, we must have missed something

I keep putting this off as I forget but I swear years ago I saw some Tumblr tards obssesively defending their R&M incest ships because they had direct quotes from Dan Harmon condoning the act of incest as Word of God. (I'm paraphrasing but it was along the lines of "Incest stories should happen more often and be normalized")

I'll try to find those posts again if I'm able.

Roiland and Harmon are both hypocritical edgelords who push the incest/child rape meme because it "shocks the normies" and is one of the few perversions Adult Swim will allow them to feature on the show on the series.

But it's Roiland who has the explicit fetish for this sick shit. He's the one who made writers toss in the "I want incest porn to have wider mainstream appeal/acceptance" line in season three, plus is the sick fuck on the show who said on Twitter, in a "Word of God" declaration as one of the show runners, that there are canon universes in the Rick and Morty multiverse where pedophilia is legal and Rick/Morty are dating and fucking. Not to mention his sick obsession with the Summer character, going on and on about "how hot Summer looks".

Its not Jerry's kid. They never said who the father was. Summer said she was naming the kid after Jerry since he died. Now you fags are putting incest in the show.
