my bro just told me cause we loved that show (the best and coolest kids show ever imo)
RIP

My favorite Gene Hackman story is one he told about making Superman.

He had a mustache and Richard Donner wanted him to shave it off to play Luthor, and Hackman didn't want to.

So Donner said, "I'll make a deal with you, Gene. If you shave off your mustache, I'll get rid of mine."

So Hackman shaved off his mustache and went to Donner, and told him, "Alright! Now you have do the same!"

And Donner said, "Okay, Gene."

Whereupon Donner pulled off his artificial mustache!

And Hackman said he loved Donner for that.

And that story tells you all about those two men, and the type of people they were.

And I miss them both. Hollywood really went to shit without guys like them still making movies.

i was looking to see if there were any other leon fans...its so sad! i thought lobsters could live for decades. at least he got a chance to live a life of luxury and comfort for a few years.
Wow, I can't believe there are other Leon fans here.

As Brady noted, there are too many variables to even guess what happened: how old was Leon? Was Leon farm-grown or wild-caught? What caused his molting schedule to get out of whack? The water quality in the tank was obviously good and Leon got fed regularly without any other environmental stressors. Was the tank too small and it stressed the lobster out? Did Leon grow too fast?

Either way, Leon got to live a life of luxury. His claws were unusable when Brady got him and he rehabbed a fucking store-bought lobster back to health.

RIP, you glorious lobster bastard.

Can you introduce another queen, like bees?
Ants have a special pheromone tied to the queen that birthed them specifically. If you introduce an ant queen from another colony the workers will just kill her. The same happens if you try to add new workers to an old queen. After a certain point the queen will start producing new queens who, when they mature, leave the nest to start new colonies.

There's a particularly large pupa in the nesting chamber so she there's a chance could've laid a successor before she died. :optimistic:

Lobsters are one animal that does not die from old age. There are supposedly lobsters that have been found to be over 100 years old.

It said he died after molting. Molting is very stressful on a lobster's body and this is a very common way for lobsters to die. The lobster is very weak when it molts and sometimes its body just can't keep going.
