God damn it, we had to lose Batman this year. I say we put Batman The Movie for Movie Night in his honour.

Well now he can help Heaven deal with that nasty cloud shark problem with shark repellent.

Adam West was in the same vein of entertainers to me as Robin Williams and Chris Farley. It's bittersweet at least that he died of natural causes instead of taking his own life.

Yes, RIP Adam West :(

I remember watching Batman in reruns as a kid, and I loved it. I never could get into the brooding, grimdark edgelord Batman incarnations... the TV show could have been considered "silly", sure (BOP! POW! WHAM! ZOWIE!) but the show version of the caped crusader was clearly and undeniably a hero.
I may go try to find a few episodes on YouTube for the nostalgia. Thanks for the memories, Mr West.

I saw the 90's Batman cartoon before the 60's series. I was obsessed with Batman as a kid, and was introduced to the 60's series later on. I liked both versions. I was too young to register something as "cheesy" or "campy." I didn't give a shit about any of that, I was just happy to have more Batman stuff to watch.

I actually have a neat wall ornament of the 60's Batman that my great grandfather made back when the show was still airing. Might post a picture of it later, when I'm not too lazy to get out of my chair for 5 minutes to take one.

Michael Bond, author of the Paddington Bear books.

Dr. Brandon Rogers. An America's Got Talent contestant that was killed in a car crash just after his breakthrough audition (it aired today with the family's permission). He was really good, had a stable career as a doctor and I think he could've made it far in the competition.

Those his later films (late 2000s forward) were mostly shit, his earlier films changed horror forever. Thank you George. RIP.
