After making a long song-and-dance about the site being apolitical, Russ makes clear that he feels the problem that The Escapist had was that it got overtaken by the Alt-Right, and not say, had two fat Social Justice types in its employ demand everyone cozy up to their viewpoint or fuck off. Pitts then rehires Moviebob, a man who has previously expressed a desire to ethnically cleanse centrist Democrats for enabling Republicans, and has declared that anyone who voted for Trump deserves condemnation.

Nothing that you said is a lie. Chipman's biggest flaw is in own ego, and refusal to move on. To him, being wrong is allowing those that harmed him to 1 upped him.
