Disney will continue the MCU for as long as they can but it's become a bloated mess that's running out of steam. They've been teasing Thanos for seven years now and once they finally beat him there isn't much else they can do that would keep people interested.

Art and material culture tends to be pretty ephemeral. I'm interested in silent films but it's not really a common interest and a lot of silent films are crap or just uninteresting (same as in any era). A lot of movies were lost due to neglect and mishandling of volatile nitrate film, but having another Keystone Cops flick isn't going to make anyone more interest on that era. Is Bob really upset that we don't have the Ancient Greek equivalent of Adam Sandler movies? Just because it's "art" or "culture" doesn't mean it's worth preserving.

And I mean, the Ancient World LOVED dick jokes.

It would be pretty funny if, when we've all ascended to be pure Kiwi energy beings, no one can remember half the capeshit movies Bob creams himself over.
