The difference is that Moore started out actually working-class. Sure, he drank the hicklib kool-aid, but he was one of the very few people on the left who was publicly blackpilling about Hillary's chances well before the election, and proved to be right. If he'd actually been working-class, his family would have made him pull some of his (considerable) weight.

I'm about 90% certain I'm allergic to gator.

I've had it 4 times in my life, every time I would get an itchy face, a bad case of the sweats and the worst hiccups I've ever had as well as gas and particularly nasty sounds coming out of every orifice you could think of.

Every time after the first I've gone back in thinking, "Well, I do really like gator, and I'm not 100% certain. I figure I can risk it one more time. I mean it could just be the spices that got used last time!"

I may have an opportunity for a fifth time coming up soon.

Pfft. Anything worth doing is probably going to require some effort. Peeling and chopping eight russet potatoes for my slow-cooker potato soup is not exactly how I enjoy spending a morning -- but the result is SO worth it.

The bitching about Moore reminds me of something I read years back. Moore gained a number of detractors after his first couple of films (particularly Bowling for Columbine). During Moore's work on Sicko, he learned that one of those detractors had a wife who was ill, and they were having to struggle with finances while fighting whatever illness she had.

Moore paid all expenses to bring the wife to Cuba (to the GOOD hospital, not the one for the poor proles) and have her treated there. Never asked anything of the guy or his wife to my knowledge.

I do not like Michael Moore. I think he is a classic limousine liberal, with the added benefit of blocking away evidence that does not match the narrative he crafts. But I will give him credit for notching in at 'halfway decent human', which is more than anyone can say for the Blob.
