MovieBob is someone I've heard about via DSP.txt and Andrew Dobson, but I've never bothered to look more into the guy, but the impression I got is that he's a very fucking obnoxious SJW hypocrite.

How do we know he wasn't simply mocking Bob?

Unfortunately Howard was praising him for "eviscerating" the movie and how "brutal" he was doing it, but I did hear some laughing in the background from Robin as they played the audio and also Howard wanted to know who was he and shit. She also said "he probably hates everything, so it gets him attention" and when they told her he liked Mad Max, she got some more digs at MovieBlob there.

I actually used to be a big MovieBob fan back when he was part of the Escapist. When the guy is purely judging movies based on, well... their stance on a movie and is addressing issues that aren't pertaining to video games (and comics to an extent), the guy can actually pass off as... not a complete and absolute tool. So long as you don't trigger him or ever mention video games in the same breath as anything else to him, he's... passable.

I first began to wonder what the fuck was his problem when he reviewed that Lone Ranger reboot with Johnny Depp, which he basically flamed as TEH WORST THANG EVUR because apparently the Indian character was portrayed as slightly insensitive. He also shared shades of this "Dude, calm down" with Man of Steel, but everyone seemed to throw a hissyfit over Superman killing Zodd in that so I'm just convinced people really like Superman not killing people (not a comics person, sorry).

But in his recent Pixels movie he seems to have gone into full "butthurt" territory, and even people on the Escapist, which is a tad bit of a hugbox to its creators unless they really go out of line, pointed out how Bob was massively wrong when talking about video games. He got massive flak when he called all of the Occupy Mass Effect people "entitled," for instance, ignoring the fact that many people got really, really pissed at the generic ending ME3 delivered.
