If you don't like Lord of the Rings, you're a bad person who also has bad taste.

Shenmue is a deeply flawed game held back by the constraints of its time, but it does its damndest to present a story within a flowing and realistic world and people love it as a cult classic because of that. There’s nuance to why people love it and that’s probably why Bob and Sterling hate it.He wants to see a kid suffer because he ...read some books? Is it because he didn't have Brick by Brick on his reading list? I know Bob hates everything, but I don't get this one.
I don't understand this sudden retroactive hate for Shenmue. First Jim Sterling and his fans, and now Moviebob. Did some "alt-righter" tweet about it? Did something happen involving the development of Shenmue 3? I'm not trying to be funny, I really don't get it. It's like they woke up one morning and decided "You know this almost 20 year old Dreamcast game people like? We hate it now."
LotR is also one of the most culturally relevant works of writing across the world, since it has inspired or influenced nearly all high fantasy produced within the last 50 years, be it writing, comics, tabletop rpgs, old school JRPGs, western RPGs or animation.Tolkien is a staunch christian both metaphysically and philosophically critical of industrialization and admires the common mans basic decency, he's also dismissive on intellect being the same as wisdom. If anything it's impressive Bob took this long to rationalize lotr (a movie where a wizard fights a giant demon) as 'boring'.
Bob has some of the most atrocious taste of film I’ve seen. It’s a toxic mix of generic capeshit with no emotional appeal and retarded politically-corrected SJW/pro-Democrat/cultural left propaganda. If you don't like Lord of the Rings, you're a bad person who also has bad taste.
I hate LOTR movies. For me they are too long, too overblown and empty husks pursuing some kind of grandiose meaning that comes across as middle ages fantasy jerking (I hate said era of history). But I understand its just my opinion. It could be wrong. But who would want an homogeneous society with no dissenting opinion (besides MovieFuhrer). If you don't like Lord of the Rings, you're a bad person who also has bad taste.

Oh, so he's rehashing Kevin Smith's argument from 2006?
It was an autistic argument then, and it's autistic now. I personally find the Lord of the Rings movies (and source material) a hell of a lot more engaging than Marvel Property #77.

I hate to defend Bob, but he didn't write it, he dredged up and clearly criticized an article from six years ago.If you don't like Lord of the Rings, you're a bad person who also has bad taste.
Between Sony and Bob, you have to wonder who has worse ideas.

Blobbo but you’re extremely stupid and naive so wouldn’t expect anything less.
Shenmue is from Sega. They're Bob's Viet Cong, don't ya know.He wants to see a kid suffer because he ...read some books? Is it because he didn't have Brick by Brick on his reading list? I know Bob hates everything, but I don't get this one.

I dunno, I kind of like the idea of Robert Pattinson as Morbius. Make sure he's ugly as fuck like the comic, though.Bob.
The answer is Bob.
If you wanna come at Bob, at least learn how to read.
Not gonna lie, I didnt watch the video. Because Bobs video's are terrible.
What video are you talking about?I also didn't watch the video, because I don't care, and my statement is not limited to whatever Bob's opinion might be, which is why I didn't "come at" him specifically by name. He can fuck off for any number of other reasons.
"Learn how to read."

Whatever video was being referenced, seems like it was actually an article. Either way again I didn't say anything about Bob and I've been on and off planes and busses through three countries for the past eighteen hours running on like two hours of sleep so with all due respect, get fucked dudeWhat video are you talking about?

It was re-released on Steam recently so a lot of Internet personalities either revisited it or played it for the first time.
