It doesn't have to be much. Razorfist has, on paper at least, done far more cringy things than Bob, but his thread is 65 pages long compared to Moviebob's 2500+ pages. No one really brings up his past behavior when he goes on podcasts or interviews.

Razorfist has a video of him jerking off easy to find you wanna check how small his dick is and he is currently dating a thot who sell nudes online (and probably other stuff offline as well).

By all means, he should be near Chris Chan level of supreme cow... and while he is a cringy motherfucker that sometimes can be funny to poke fun at, he also seems to understand when it's time to rein in the autism and not act like a complete asshat.

What a lot of people don't seem to notice is that lol cows, like Rome, aren't done in a day. it takes time to notice and mock people over their stupid behaviours, because you can't make fun of someone without a pattern.

If Spoony isn't constantly throwing a pathetic pity party, or Dobson clusmly trying to make his cultural commentary over his terrible comics or Robert making self-servecing dissertations about "the superior future" that is a barely disguised whine about how he should have beem more appreciated, then there is no cow.

The constant is the key of how this relation works. Cow says stupid thing - people mock cow - cow doubles down/sperges out harder, and so the loop goes. That is why some people argue that kids being picked on School might be a good thing (picked on, not the 80's high school bully psychos people talk about).

Everybody at one point gets picked on or made fun of for something, and as you grow up, you learn how to deal with this, either you start weighting in more what you say, recognize that some behaviour is embarassing, overall, you start not acting like a fucking weirdo. If you don't grow up from that phase of your life, you get to be like Robert, who still clings to his high school resentment and is seen as nothing but a joke even among his peers.

Bob, don't act like you know shit about art. Your definition of art is anything Hollywood churns out and video games from the NES days. You have never cared about anything beyond that. You don't visit museums and art galleries, you've never talked about classical music, you don't attend film festivals, you hardly ever give coverage to any movie outside Hollywood unless the movie has a tonne of marketing behind it. You are anything but cultured. You are the very definition of a consumer.

Also, government funding arts programmes has been a topic of contention for quite a while. This is especially the case in Germany, where unlike France, isn't as protective as their media to the point strict quotas are implemented to ensure it's culture isn't eroded by the dominance of foreign cultures. Based on my observations, modern German culture is very much dominated by American culture. Hardly anything notable has come out in the German arts scene since the 70s, with the exception of postmodern art. I wouldn't be surprised if large parts of the population sees it as a waste of taxpayers' money.

Most cows we cover have things they love sufficiently that they can turn to it and show genuine happiness, if only for a little while. Even the most depressed, miserable individual has things they can take comfort in.

Maybe it's just the cows I follow, but most don't have that. Spoony hates everything and wallows in self-pity and self-loathing 24/7. ResetEra, Jim Sterling, and games journalist claim to love games but seem to despise them, only playing them out of obligation, hoping to find some word, scene, or mechanic that can be considered triggering. Zoe Quinn seems to happy sometimes, but that happiness seems to come from the fleeting moments of attention or getting away with a scam.

Bob has Nintendo, but even that seems to come with a layer of rage and resentment aim at Nintendo for retconing Mario's backstory, and at obsolete mayonnaise ghouls for playing games that aren't Mario.

The only time Bob seemed happy was when he was "remember when-"ing at the PAX panel.

Bob, if you're reading this, remember Sunset? No, of course you don't. It was a walking simulator that failed so hard it took the company with it. Seemingly over night the woke walking simulator genre died. Do you know why that happened? It turned out the company was relying on art grants to stay afloat. At first glance that supports your point, but to most that is a strong argument against art grants because it was taking tax payer money and producing shit that nobody liked, nobody wanted, and had little to no cultural value.

And on the other side of the coin, we have CDProject Red. That's one of those non-Nintendo game developers you might have heard Kotaku and Polygon reee about. They also benefit from government programs to fund the arts, but something tells me you're going to less supportive of government funding going to something you don't like.
