I know this is an ESL thing, the whole not knowing the difference between in and on, but it cracks me to to think of Robert living in a basement apartment on the moon. What a Superior Future!
ot, but I've been making that mistake a lot recently... something must be wrong with my brain.

At least I provide you with sme amusement...

Has anyone talked about how much of a Fedorafag Bob sounds when he uses his "Thinkers vs Believers" shtick? Like Jesus man, we get it, you're an extreme atheist who read the God Delusion once, but this just makes you sound like an asshole.
It is appropriate though, because Robert is a MASSIVE asshole!

If he lives long enough to see intelligent robots, then he will also live long enough to see intelligent robots mock him. Bob is pathetic and ridiculous, and any reasonably intelligent being can see that. I for one welcome our robot overlords shitposters.

Why thank you, it's nice to be appreciated once in awhile.

If Bob were to become a robot. Would he be like Bender or AM?
There's no doubt, he would be:

Only less charming and useful.

They do have matching yellow hues at least.

Spot on @Bolo . I'm going to try and explain things to Bob so I'll type real slow.

Bob, there is POLITICS - that is, the normal struggles of people and institutions in their efforts to accomplish goals, in which case, no duh, all art is "political" because all art is going to have some parts of the human experience in them.

Then there is Politics(TM) which people are referring to and as I saw someone point out once, can better be described as "issues." That shit? That sucks and dates a work faster than clothing, hair style, and music. Because the latter things can last in style for at least a year, but "issues" are lucky to last a week. When you and the other NPCs start going on about "issue" works, you're no different from the fundies and their christian films.

Here's how you can tell the difference: If you were to remove or change a "politics" detail, does the story still work? Or does it fall apart?
Yup people often conflate the two sense of "politics", usually disingenuously. In the narrow (and much more accepted) sense, politics is the subject of governance and public administration, but in the wide, contentious, sense, "politics" pertains to everything that involves the power relationship between any two individuals, and this is in the wide sense that SJWs and pop-culture addicts use the word "politics". You can see the deliberate, disingenuous equivocation in the following convo:

Normal person: I hate Trump. I hate Biden. They are both liars and they bullshit about helping the people. I hate politics and I want no part in it!
SJW: What do you mean by 'I hate politics'? Everything is politics; you can't hate everything. And you literally cannot pretend to have no part in it!

I could be misremembering, but I think creators could pledge some of their earnings to other Patreons directly and bypass some of the fees involved. If someone knows differently, feel free to clarify.
Patreon-to-Patreon donations are charge-exempt. Patreon tried to rectify it some two years ago, but the roaring of trannies and other degenerates proved too loud.

Not all thinking is useful; much thinking is idle fantasies. Believing is the default mode of human information processing and is nothing to be ashamed about.

I would like to further add usually when people mean politics they also are less harsh on more general widely applicable messages that has more than a 24 hour news cycle length of relevance. Avatar is technically political but iirc doesnt call out anything that dates its environmental or basic anti corrupt business message to a certain small time period or a certain person or practice or cultural trend iirc so most people wouldn't immediately think of Avatar as a "political" movie. Mostly it is used as a short hand for don't turn franchises people love into a very transient twitter check mark mouth piece that will be forgotten when it bombs and the new "fans" realize they need another pre-existing structure to antagonize people and slap the things they actually like onto stories where it doesn't fit and that they only pretend to love

He also owns a fedora collection, so he fits the bill perfectly

andrew dobson would take issue with that, as he claimed his indy hat was 'a trilby not a fedora!'

bob's too assmad at the 'christfags' for holding him back. but it would be the irony of ironies if a bunch of his bullies were or became atheists.
