I guess I can aid to the shitfest here even though if only to try to add my two cents to more off-topic discusion.
Cyberpunk as a genre is a product of its time, a world in the brink or collapse where all that really matters is keeping oneselfs humanity, that overall feel is very real in todays world and will be for the foreseable future even if it is not as "romantic" as it is on the many artistic works in the genre. We are not seeing authors LARP cyberpunk really because they understand it but rather because they like the aesthetics and want them for their basic means. Despite the fact that most works are quite pessimistic or at least far from ideal you get authors pretending they can masquarade their consumer revolutions and give it some value. If anything the pessimism of most cyberpunks works (even though I dont feel pessimism is the term) feels all the more justified because corporation fed droning excuses of humans want to pretend they are Rick and Morty.
Now another semi off-topic thing I feel like venting about is when people describe others as "decent" which get worse when they add human being at the end. Semantics yadda yadda. How easy is for you to get stripped of your humanity these days based on stupid and vapid political opinions and even consider that the nutcases of breadtube are the most decent of us all when not even they stand each other. Back to Bob, if "decency" is a value tied to political performance, does that encompass his disgusting views or is it just value measured in likeability + right side of history?
I rest my autistic case your Blobness.
