I've been known to find it irritating when critics and other film writers of my generation (particularly those of us covering weekly mainstream releases for online publications) get tagged as "comic book movie" critics only - or thought of as focused even more narrowly on the Marvel films - simply because we happen to have done the bulk of our initial work during a period where this particular genre (and, for the last decade at least, one specific series and studio) has so dominated the conversation. BUT, there is no denying that I've reviewed a lot of Marvel films and provided a lot of Marvel coverage over my decade-plus in the business; so with Phase 3 having concluded I figured it was only proper to try and collect them into a single space for the viewing convenience (and curiosity factor) of longtime viewers, readers and fans.

...unfortunately, while this installment of "THE BIGGER PICTURE" collects the majority of my reviews from the majority of "official" MCU productions (so no "DEADPOOL," "VENOM" or "SPIDERVERSE" in here yet as it hasn't been made 100% clear that they're being "multiverse-grandfathered" into the timeline yet, or at all); I'm not totally able to provide a complete set just yet. For starters, I hadn't begun doing video reviews until "IRON MAN 2," so the original "IRON MAN" and "THE INCREDIBLE HULK" are sadly absent here. More pressingly, while having reclaimed my rights to republish reviews from "ESCAPE TO THE MOVIES;" a handful of my MCU review videos were published under a separate engagement with the now defunct site GEEK.COM - where it is not fully settled whether or not I can republish those episodes or not. Good point and I think Sam Harris was smart enough to realize that atheism needed to have objective morality to continue to propagate itself. Unfortunately, he was not smart enough to write that atheist bible. A long time ago, I read The Moral Landscape to understand what my then-Atheist collegues were thinking and it was just a mess that failed to disprove Hume's Guillotine. At the time, I was largely unimpressed and when I tried to read it again, it's the philosophical backing of why COVID measures are justified. Thus, we can see why Atheism failed to catch on. It encourages, at a minimum, high time preference behaviors (i.e. YOLO or Carpe Diem for classier people) and atomizes the individual while also terrifying them with non-existence. Atheism is a negative philosophy, thus it detracts from its adherents and not conductive for meme survival except to make fun of it.

Diabeto is the extreme end of this kind of thinking and while easy to dismiss as an outlier, the only difference between him and any other SJW is he's a fat, straight, white male. They still believe the same politics and have the same hypocrisies.

Evolution and natural selection in the end relies on numbers and minimalism: getting as many of your people to defeat rival groups and rule as much of the world as possible, and getting by with the least amount of wealth/resources per person. Which is why religion, and its emphasis of doing your "duty" to procreate with a wife and getting by with the least amount of materialism possible, is actually a very good strategy when viewed in the lens of Darwinism. Your group becomes larger and more powerful, and maintaining each person's lifestyle isn't going to be a drag on resources too much.

Fedora-tippers like Movieblob who live in the first world, usually frustrated with the opposite sex and focusing on material luxury are the exact opposite of evolved creatures that can survive in the harsh reality of the world. This is why that very same crowd that saw religious people as backwards hicks throw temper tantrums when the government doesn't bail them out from the student debt they got from getting fluff degrees in college. It's a self-fullilling prophecy; they proclaim that evolution targets the most unfit for extinction, and they're going to die out after getting old and alone, crucified by public debts and/or unable to live anywhere but a resource-rich, first-world society built by God-fearing folks decades ago.

AOC is like the average liberal college girl: easy to look at, but dumb as bricks. Every day they're wasting God's gift of beauty pursuing stupid ideologies instead of pursuing a man with a good head on his shoulders who can provide for them and give them good, healthy children.

The problem is, trying to define an objective morality for atheists is impossible. Some atheists are going to be socialists who believe in a cause, others are going to be more worldly and believe merely in capitalism, freedom, and money. Others are going to be macho-masculine folks who want women to follow their orders, while others are going to be mouthy feminist chicks and their male feminist counterparts who see the former as sexist CIS scum. To be atheist is to merely renounce one's belief in God; there are many other ideologies that can swoop in to replace God that can take atheists to many different directions.

Basically, many of those Carpe Diem/YOLO atheists live for the moment, while at the same time, removing any higher purpose for living (ie. as God's children, as caretakers of the world, as the Salt of the Earth, etc.) leaving nothing but a mess of people trying to get a high, not caring that it would destroy them or that their choices would make them regret things in the future.

It's funny to see Moviebob rag against "Christo-Fascist" societies when those societies have something that many modern Americans lack: purpose, unity, a higher view of who they are and what their purpose in life is. I'm not saying religion is perfect, but having the Church tell you all you need to do to live a fulfilling life usually works far better than many modern materialist/atheist folks going all YOLO (like many alt-righters) or full SJW. (Like Movieblob) The former are self-destructive, while the latter are everything bad about religion with none of the good stuff. (ie. forgiveness, talking about God's Love, etc.)

I got 395/500, or 79%. It was fairly easy to distinguish between MovieBob quotes and Nazi/Neo Nazi quotes because the Nazis were actually more well-spoken with use of higher vocabulary and overall superior command of the English language than Bob's dumbass tweets.

Like I said in my last post, the butter just rolled off at the melting point so those brown streaks are what remains of the butter, there was none anywhere else to crisp the skin, so it's just unseasoned, naked turkey flesh. Just cooking it will leave the skin basically white.

Also stuffing the actual cavity prevents air flow which takes longer for the bird to cook, which likely wasn't accounted for. I'm sure the fucking sutures didn't help either.
