I don't trust Zack Snyder to make a faithful (or even just good) King Arthur movie. It's not even that difficult to do, First Knight did a good job of that. Snyder isn't the kind of person who makes 'faithful' (or good) movies. He makes dreary, overdone movies that take themselves too seriously in the safest way possible.

Getting back on topic, Blob's opinion of the movie will depend on which way the wind blows. Rest assured, he'll wait until some alpha bitch he orbits gives an opinion, and then he'll repeat that opinion in the most fucking insufferable way possible.

For all the faults of Snyder movies (and they are plenty), the guy always tries to push the bleakest scenarios and choices for his main characters (like Clark's hands-on approach killing Zod, or Baby Doll dealing with accidentally killing her little sister in lieu of her rapist father), and sticks to his guns (except for BvS) about his vision.

He's obsessed with portraying misery and death without having the writing or directing chops to properly stage the conflicts of his characters.

But in this age of self-aware cinema and consequence free violence I cannot help but respect his self-reverence and earnest teen angst.

Bob on the other hand, couldn't have less balls if he was an eunuch.

This is what I noticed, too. If you're obsessed with a game franchise you tend to be, you know, GOOD at those games. Bob never puts out any videos of himself playing Mario games. He never talks about how to beat Mario games. And he never put out a video about Mario lore. Contrast that with all the Marvel videos he's made explaining the lore and history behind the characters. Bob's never made a video about his expectations of an upcoming Mario game.

First of all, there's been 2 D&D movies. The funny one with Damodar (It's got its moments). The second one had name dropped modules and some other stuff and was pretty good at the time. (The dragon SFX weren't too bad)

Second of all "Stranger Things type nostalgia, censorship-fake outrage part of the plot, JUMANJI for the sequel, then LOTR/GoTG" and "satanic panic"?

Fuck you, Bob. Game of Thrones was fucking shit. The books are shit, GRR Martin is a shit writer and a shittier person, and having it JUMAJI them into the fucking world? That was done to the death in the 70's and 80's, with people being pulled into D&D games with novels.

It wasn't "fake outrage", people legitimately talked about how it was a gateway to demon worship and the big fucking media giants like Oral Roberts and the 700 Club didn't help. And Satanic Panic isn't everyone panicking over D&D, it was over people saying "Children NEVER lie" and recovered memories claiming that daycares were having sacrificial parties.
