The reason he pretends that happened is because saying otherwise would massively disprove his beliefs about Trump and mean he found himself on the same side as Jacobin.
Both Moviebob and Jacobin argue that Trump is a racist and ran a racist campaign. However, Moviebob says that this means anyone who voted Trump was a racist and was just waiting for the chance to burn a cross while calling St Obama a nigger or whatever. Jacobin (and also Bernie, if I remember correctly) says that Trump is a racist, but that his voters aren't racists themselves and voted Trump because of ”economic anxiety”.
If you look at Weimar Germany, anti-Semitic parties such as the NSDAP and, to a lesser extent, the DNVP didn't do well in the 20's when Weimar was booming, but when Weimar started going to shit and people developed ”economic anxiety”, lots of those people started voting for those parties. If Bob acknowledged that he'd have to either admit that Trump isn't a racist or admit that many Trump voters aren't racists but voted for him for economic reasons. It's simpler for him to feign ignorance about history than acknowledge that not all Trump voters are racist hicks.

Didn't comic geeks also hate the movie because they removed the giant alien squid? Which is still retarded when you read the comic about how Ozymandias found a brain of an actual psychic, cloned it, and then amplified its power to make a psychic attack when the squid was teleported in.
Doomsday Clock isn't bad, it's more it got overshadowed by the HBO show releasing around the same time and got screwed over by delays. It's more a story about Ozymandias' plan not working out in the long term so he constructs an elaborate plan to try to get Dr. Manhattan back and rediscover his humanity. It also tries to parallel the cold war stuff from the original to modern media disinformation campaigns by various interest groups.
I think it's actually the better of the two though Watchmen didn't really need a sequel. People's brains just turn off when they see Batman and Superman on the covers since they assumed it was a soulless cashgrab when you can pull them out and the story still works on the Watchmen side. The DCU's mostly there for contrast to Watchmen's more "realistic" universe.
I'm certain Bob resents women for generally not finding him attractive despite how big brained he is, and how they'll prefer someone aesthetically pleasing over a fat, chicken-eyed blob like him.

I caught a musical version of it in London. One of the best things I've ever seen. I haven't been able to stomach watching anything Bob has made for years without someone else's commentary and I know that viewing this surefire abortion will taint my memory of that side splitting evening.
Boy I wish Bob would find himself face to face with Amon Goeth from Schindler's List. Imagine our Bob facing down one of the most banal yet terrifying Nazis of all time -a man who'd kill you without a second thought, just because he was having a bad day. Or because he was having a good day. Or because he just felt like killing something and your big potato head was the first thing he saw. Bob would wet his pants if he was brought before a chaotic evil Nazi like Goeth, because the randomness of what he might do to you - the utter helplessness of your position and the knowledge that there is absolutely nothing you could do to stop him - would be far more terrifying than the actual killing.
That's the the thing that many of those screeching about Nazis don't understand. The ones doing the killings weren't demonic automotons in spiffy, well-pressed uniforms. They were human beings with human faults put in the position of a god over thousands of people. The ones in the killing fields acted much like Goethe. They got drunk to do their business and could often did take sex slaves and randomly disposed of them whenever they felt like it. As much as the popular image of Nazis is that they were an efficient genocidal machine, that wasn't really the case. Those guys became monstrous and sloppily good at killing because they could dull their senses and allow their worst elements to run free.
I'm sure if you mentioned Wiemar to Bob he'd think it was some type of new Mario enemy or Pokemon. If you tried to explain to him how Wiemar was bad he'd call you a Nazi and explain how Wiemar just needed an extra decade or two to prune the "obsolescents" from their society and it would've been a utopia before the evil mean reactionaries ruined everything and took over.

It occurs to me that people like Boob and a lot of prominent mouth pieces have no grasp on history nor have they tried to understand the conditions that led to the events of history.
