You know some of the responsibles for the Kung Flu not being held properly in the US? The BLM and Antifa terrorists and stans whom you go to bat for. And who still hate your guts because you represent pretty much everything they were told to hate.
Those definitely did not obey lockdown measures when they went out to turn the country upside down, no matter how much CNN, MSNBC, and other assorted rags said it totally, certainly did not spread the virus as much as those dang dirty right-wing trolls in their respective rallies. Those protests were still agglomerations, have you not thought about that? Of course not, because that would imply you think for yourself, and not get fed your opinions from your Twitter handle.

As cool as it would have been for the US to shut down and basically destroy the world economy (especially the third world), I think getting a disease that the vast majority will survive was much better. If any of you remember, there was a story a few years back about a statue of a young girl being placed in front of that statue of a bull over in New York near the stock exchange. I was curious when that happened so I read up on the bull statue, basically the guy was from South America (could be wrong) and the rampaging Bull was to symbolize just how powerful America's economy was. When it suffered, the repercussions could ruin other countries.
Also, thread, I must confess that I have made a mistake. Not only have I read more than one comic with the Eternals, but also a great comic with one of them. Mark Grunewald's Squadron Supreme is a knock off of the Justice League, led by Hyperion, a Superman knockoff who is an Eternal. Its a great story about a team of Superheroes taking over the world for the greater good, brainwashing their villains, confiscating everyone's weapons, the whole nine yards. It explores the ideas well. However, I don't believe that they ever actually say Hyperion was an Eternal, and I doubt the movie even tried something as complex.

Correct me if I am wrong here but IIRC, back when Mark Grunewald wrote Squadron Supreme, it was entirely based on different universe (not the 616) and Hyperion 616 "Eternal" version was introduced much later into 616...

IIRC it's only the Supreme Power version of Hyperion that's not an Eternal. (Though I suppose it's still possible he could be one, it's just never stated like the others?)

Who in the absolute fuck is of the belief that the devil has rule over their life other schizophrenic satanists? I missed the context for this and lol and behold Bob was mad about someone's movie take. Something about "Programmed To Kill" was mentioned and there was no mention about religion until he brought it up. It was so dumb that I instantly tuned out.
For any non Bible thumpers out there, the devil, and it is the Christian devil based on the context of white people that Bob gives, is not God's shadow. Satan is not Nega-Jesus. The devil is a fallen angel who was kicked out of Heaven for trying to usurp God and failing miserably. The only power the devil has is to lie, nothing more. He's so pathetic that in Isaiah it says that the people will look upon Lucifer with stunned amazement and say "Is this him? Is this all he is?"
I say/sperg about all that to say that Bob proclaims to have survived Catholic schooling, though Catholic upbringing seems suspiciously absent, so he should know at least some of this. This is such an asinine strawman, even for the Lord of Lynn.

In this instance I'm pretty sure Bob is using "the devil" as a general metaphor for "outside evil force."
Which is what makes his other tweet so funny - because he so often blames outside evil forces for his lot in life.
If he could somehow obtain less self awareness I can't begin to imagine how.

That's always lulzy to me, he clearly doesn't have even the barest hint of understanding of how spacetravel is most likely to actually work... Forget Star Trek or Star wars.
Space ships are either going to have to abuse the hell out of relativistic effects, cryogenics or life extension technology is gonna have to really move forward, or anyone we send on a starship is gonna die on said starship and it's gonna be thier grand kids or great grand kids or even more distant descendants who actually make it to the destination.
either that or we just send frozen embryo's who will be gestated in iron wombs and raised by robots.
Come to think of it, he also assumes that making intelligent robots should be some simple thing... we don't even fucking completely understand our own intelligence or consciousness yet, let alone the potential intelligence or consciousness of anything else.
