I don't know exactly which fellow was wrongfully, and it's in quotes for reasons only Bob's hops addled brain can figure out, "disciplined". We can speculate but it doesn't really matter because the outcome was him getting shit canned and everyone else moving on with their lives. I'm really hoping that he's referring to Jim Sterling in 2014 because even though Jim follows Bob

and Bob mentions him a bit and openly calls him friend

and Bob got into a fight with Totalbiscuit while defending Jim Sterling

As a side bar I wanna say it's kind of amazing how even in 2015 Bob had a reputation for being a reductive extremist.
and by my count has tweeted at him 148 time since August 10, 2011, if we just flip it around...

Three. Only three times did Jim even bother to mention or reply back to Bob. The one in the middle is the day daddy Chipman died. Not in a single one of those did Bob retweet, quote tweet, reply, or like. Going through the first search, Bob to Jim, I couldn't find one where Jim did the same. Granted I only went through the top ten or so but I really doubt that there was some banger in that over 100 tweets that Jim liked.

Bob was never friends with Jim. He was barely a coworker. I really, really hope that this is the person he threw away his job for. It's incredibly fitting that he would've thrown everything away for someone who does not care about him with no plan of what to do next.
I don't think it is Sterling he is mentioning. I might be misremembering, but I don't think Sterling was ever reprimanded or punished during his time at The Escapist. If I remember correctly Sterling left only because they wouldn't take a definitive stand against Gamergate. He wasn't fired or punished in anyway.

And even if it is Sterling he is talking about, Bob is completely misrepresenting his "holdout" claims. Going through archives of Bob's content on The Escapist, he was doing his regular content right up until he got fired. There was no big lapse in content from Bob at anypoint. Even during Gamergate when Bob was fuming 24/7.
I honestly can't tell if claiming the occasional YouTube upload stutter is the same as having your arm ripped off in a factory accident is his usual intellectual dishonesty or his bottomless stupidity. As in, is he just posturing ... or does he really believe it?
He has said a lot of similar rhetoric before. I remember he once was bitching about how hard he had it in college because he had to commute thirty minutes away from home. Some of Bob's bullshit that he spews is just a coping mechanism that he doesn't genuinely believe, but a lot of other stuff like this are things that he does genuinely believe in.

Bob is a person that thinks that a bookcase filled with DVDs makes him an authority of art and culture. And that posting a photo of it on Twitter will make people instantly respect him. Bob is a person that thinks horrid concoctions like chicken soaked in a bag filled with hot sauce is a culinary masterpiece. Bob is a person who thinks that a totally real story about him manipulating girls into a threesome make him look like a stud instead of a perverted liar.

Bob is not a person that comprehends things like a normal human being. And he doesn't understand how normal people comprehend things either. That is one of the driving forces behind him being such a prolific cow: he wants people to respect him and view him as a master of something but his blatant retardation makes him incapable of doing that.

I guess Bob could claim that he threatened to not do anything, and the Escapist capitulated IMMEDIATELY, thus there was no noticeable gap in his work. I'm not sure who it coulda been. Russ Pitts? Devin Faraci? Did Bob ever say he was wrong for simping Devin?

Oh yeah, Bob's capacity for comprehension is minimal exceptional paste-eating shortbus-riding blue curtain levels at best. IDK if I mentioned it before but I get the sense that Bob is a nasty mean drunk. Think about it. He is buzzed at least most of the time he is tweeting, brags that he has RUM for breakfast as if that's an achievement or showing what great taste/high class he has instead of making him look like a fucking alcoholic loser, and is constantly angry while tweeting about the MayoGhoul Question. No wonder women don't want to be anywhere near him. No wonder, he's a sauced Virgin With Rage(tm). The red flags inherent here are waving harder than a matador waving his cape at a bull.

EDIT: The exceptional thousand yard Rooster Stare doesn't help, either.

No, Bob, I can easily see the eyes of everyone with pre-kindergarten reading skills glasing over that blithering bullshit. The only things necessary for being a film critic in 2021 are an unbiased, level-headed appreciation for cinema and halfway decent writing skills; a voice that doesn't sound like someone's fingernails scratching a chalkboard helps as well. Bob possesses none of those traits, nor is he a good video-producer [sic], and his graphics editing skills are second-worst-to-none (I doubt any of those images he uses in his Big Picture videos were drawn with his own hands using his own ink).
That's because you are a no name fuck and your operation Is non existent. You could farm out the pre-post production so
a) you dont have the money to do it
b) you dont have any friends who could help you with those things

I'm pretty sure escapist is tax write off like most of the other gaming pop culture websites.

If they actually wanted to be a big player they would get exclusives with Mandalore, Sseth and Internet historian.

Even if they kept their glacial upload speed it would cause a lot of traffic because people would check the website to see if they uploaded content.

As far as I can remember, the Escapist was one of those groups that jumped on the trend of organising multiple creators under a single name on youtube, effectively trying to run them similar to a TV company or legit media group. It was successful for a while, but I think there's a reason why Escapist and groups like it barely exist now, most people will seek out creators they like and prefer to watch them on their own channels.

Jesus, his diabetes and lonliness must be killing his fat ass, lmao...
Seethe, film rob, seethe....
Seethe at the fact that you made yourself an eternal virgin who is unlovable and impossible to live with. The fact trannies and cripples have a better chance at love than Bob really eats him inside.
If Bob's sister doesn't procreate actively, then that means the Chipmans are reduced to two retards by 2060. :lit:

note; the actual video is a bit worse than the image above depicts. She spends some time talking about how great Malik's The New World is, a romance film about Pocahontas and John Smith.

Wikipedia: The working class (or labouring class) comprises those engaged in manual-labour occupations or industrial work, who are remunerated via waged or salaried contracts

Dictionary.com: those persons working for wages, especially in manual labor.

Merriam-Webster: the class of people who work for wages usually at manual labor

What the fuck definition is Bob using where "anyone that works" is considered "working class?"

Bob gets to sit at home all day on his butt for his job. His physical risk is limited to carpal tunnel and diabetes. He is only poor due to the triple whammy of living in a very expensive place, being terrible with money, and being terrible at his job.

Got to love the sub 20 buck wine on the Chipman family table too. From the renowned "Massachusetts" wine-making region.
Nothing says "special family get together" like some budget red.
I would bet anything that Bob gets shit faced off of said 20 dollar wine and starts droning on about shit his family (outside of his brother) could care less about. Like bitching about Thanksgiving cause "muh Native American genocide", Gamergate, and why Lindsey Ellis won't touch his limp dick.

Oh, they predate that. Hell, they almost predate YouTube itself. Here's how my memory of it goes, someone do point out my inevitable errors.

They started as an online mag (so text and four-color glossiesJPGs) around the time YouTube first started. Yahtzee posted his first two Fully Ramblomatic reviews on YouTube in 2007 and the Escapist picked him up and moved him to their site under the name Zero Punctuation. (Best thing they ever did in a business sense. I do not know if that man is fiercely loyal or just wants someone else to do the boring site management work for him but I suspect both, given that Yahtzee slipped a friendly sendoff to Russ Pitts into his first video after the latter got drummed out and everyone else was treating him as persona non grata.)

Anyway, ZP became a hit and the anchor for a new media site, just like TGWTG anchored Channel Awesome around the same time. From there they moved away from the mag format a bit. While they still had text articles, their big sell became videos. ZP and video versions of their text reviews, adding others like Moviebob and a bunch of people you've never heard of or forgotten. (Let's see.... Rebecca Mayes, LoadingReadyRun, There Will Be Brawl....) For a while that was enough; internet video was very much split and the internet itself was still a bit nerdy - the first iPhone also came out around the same time ZP started. People still had to have a computer to see this stuff.

You went to the Escapist for ZP and maybe video games themed things and some general spergery/nerdery like Bob (and a few webcomics because it was that era too). You went to Channel Awesome for TGWTG and maybe etc. At this point YouTube was as far as I can recall the "misc" pile, the people who didn't have a themed site to host their vids. YouTube was uncurated, full of absolute junk.

But it had some hidden gems too, gems that unlike ZP weren't poached by other sites. That's where YouTube being a massive "misc" pile helped - every group out there found their own prizes and traffic to the site started increasing from all quarters. It wasn't the gaming site, or the nerdy commentary site, or the funny skit site, it was the everything site, just as the world found the internet.

From there the story writes itself. Pewdiepie happens. YouTube gets assimilated into the Borg... er... Google (Boorgle?). Specific competitors start to die off or offload their libraries on to other sites. Generic competitors like Blip follow. The Escapist shambles on as the site that hosts ZP for years before being revived, rehiring Russ Pitts (who rehires Bob), firing Russ Pitts (then firing Bob) etc. etc. Now, like whatever little else exists of 2007-2010 specialized internet video sites, it exists mostly as a Youtube frontend.
Just because you work hard, doesn’t mean your work output is good.

I'm sorry, is Bob stating "media analysts" are a huge part of ANYTHING, much less the working class? Critics have been considered a necessary evil at best (and parasites at worst) for creatives for... probably as long as the arts have existed.

This is why I pay attention to Bob. He's the purest example of so much. Here he's the distillation of the meme of "I'll run a feminist poetry and reply channel after the Revolution!" (Followed by an armed Red Guard type yelling "GET IN THE MINE!")

I've heard a lot of words applied to Marx. "Gentleman" is NEVER one of them, not even from Marxists.

Also, funny using the "man of his own era" argument when we've torn down statues of our founders for not being 21st century woke.

Wasn't Karl Marx the son of a Jewish lawyer or something? Not sure if they count as white or not but I don't think his race has anything to do with his philosopies about economics.

But of course MovieBlob would whack off to something as inane and disproven as Marxist ideology.

I think at one point he admired both the ideas of Ayn Rand and Marx and their biggest problem is that they appeal to the “wrong people”.

if I remember correctly, his father was jewish but had convert to Lutheranism.
Marx really hated jews otherwise, as he saw them as a symbol of the capitalist society.

It's pretty surprising considering how many Jewish communists there have been. David Horowitz was raised in that circle and it's probably why he's conservative now.

What the hell happened to Blob to make his political views a thing? His parents hardcore religious Republicans or something?

Bob might realize that time is against him and growing up might be good for him.
I don’t think Bob will ever grow up. But you brought a great point.

People like Bob seem to think that time is on their side but it’s not. I mean, how many years does he have left on this planet, and what has he accomplished?

Nothing.

He could have done something but he chose to waste all that time being insignificant.

It’s a shame.

It's pretty surprising considering how many Jewish communists there have been. David Horowitz was raised in that circle and it's probably why he's conservative now.

I think, with Horowitz, he became disillusioned with the Left after one of his friends was murdered by the Black Panther's after she threatened to expose the massive grift and corruption going on with their school/food programs. All of his New Left buddies ran cover for the Panthers even though they all knew the woman involved, were friends with her, and knew the Panthers were guilty of that and plenty else besides. It was the straw that broke the camel's back, started him thinking about the hypocrisy and amorality that he had been steeped in since his childhood as a red diaper baby.

If Bob actually had a friend, and something like that happened, Bob would break his neck swiveling to look the other way. He doesn't have the courage to examine his own political beliefs and he doesn't have the morality to examine his own actions/words in moral terms. Bob's not a thinker or a self-examiner, he's a fat drunk moron who revels in dreams of violence against a world that has categorically rejected him IRL in every way. And far-left twitter encourages him to do so, as long as he couches it in far-left rhetoric. Granted, his rhetoric is considerably dumber than most, but so is Bob.
