This is a small rig fire on Patterson 280... I think. That was a while ago. I was about 50 feet away when I snapped the picture. They had it under control quickly and there weren't any injuries or even threats to operation. Now, if things had escalated even a *tiny* bit, the charred bits of my dispersed body parts wouldn't be here to tell the story. When people discuss things like working class people dealing with workplace safety, this is what they mean. Not, you know, saying you wouldn't work until some pedo or whatever got his job back.

I've been looking at the Chipman photos of their Thanksgiving dinner, trying to figure out what it is that instantly makes them visually unappealing. I've concluded it's not the food, and it's not Bob's awful choice in attire (though that doesn't help).

It's that loud and obnoxious looking multi-pattern tablecloth. It makes it looks like there's a large assorted mess of mats or towels underneath everything, and as a result it winds up making their spread look more cluttered than it actually is.
