The hero worship of Obama was always cringe, but somehow Bob manages to take it to the next level. I'll grant that this is from the period of time prior to Shillary's defeat that removed any remaining luster of the Clintons, but still, making serial sexual predator Bill into Optimus Prime is just awful.
Also, glad I wasn't the only one who had a light chuckle at the Lego Peach joke. Short and sweet and actually funny, and all the better juxtaposed against Bob's blind consoomer screeching.
His job over at MatPat's headquarters can't be because of anything else other than that he had connections there once upon a time, unbelievably enough. It seems that he hasn't pissed off MatPats posse to the point of earning him yet another one of his trademark contract termination letters just yet, which goes to show just what kind of people are working over there. Any reasonable company would have stopped associating with him long ago. I don't find it surprising though; I imagine the headquarters of The Theorist Media smells of drool and plastic toys — a veritable heaven for manchildren.
If you think about it, Bob should be a perfect fit for the Theorist channels. I mean, when the entire process of their videos is throwing a dart at a list of games/movies/TV/food(?!), poorly researching the topic, making up a random theory that
aykshually explains everything, then stringing together any minute detail to support the hypothesis and calling it a day (and hiding behind your "it's just a theory" defense whenever someone tells you you're retarded), that's pretty much what Bob does all the damn time. Hell, his movie pitches are along similar veins where he just mashes together random shit and pulls a piss-poor idea out of it all. He probably works for peanuts as well, happy to be doing grunt work for channels much bigger than his own just so he can have his name in the credits.
But that's just a theory.
Either Bob's been doing a good enough job of hiding his actual personality, or he's doing enough
Wikipedia skimming work to justify keeping him around. I'll laugh if he ends up losing this gig too.

Why does MovieBob make the cartoon villain in his horrible movie pitch sound like what he always portrays himself as?
I think it's the other way around. The trope of "downtrodden misunderstood genius" is well-worn enough that pretty much anyone with decent exposure to the idea would probably describe it in terms similar to what Bob wrote there. Someone without all the advantages of wealth and "priviledge" [sic], ground into the dirt by the circumstances of his life, but working hard to prove his detractors wrong. Depending on characterization, this could lead to a hero or a villain just as easily.
What Bob's doing when he describes himself that way is trying to apply that template to his own life out of a misguided belief that if his life is like the script, then he'll also get the fame and success he deserves. Since Bob was also "bullied," that means that he too is a genius, and he'll prove the haters wrong and become a millionaire and get the girl/robo-waifu and ride off into the sunset with all his dreams fulfilled.
But as we all know, not only is that a stupid belief, it doesn't even match reality. Bob was not born into "harsh working-class poverty," he was lower-middle class at the absolute worst. He had a father that worked diligently to provide for the family, a mother that coddled him and never made him change his ways, and two younger siblings that really couldn't do anything to torment him. His biggest torment was Yoshi's Island retconning the Mario Bros. as being Mushroom Kingdom natives, hardly comparing to standing in a bread line. He might have had kids at school treat him poorly, but as mentioned, that was probably due to his own assholish nature.
Bob continues to believe that he's owed success and fortune, but that's just not how it works. Hell, the biggest difference between the "misunderstood genius" and himself is that the trope version manages to overcome his circumstances through sheer hard work and determination. Bob has merely meandered through life and gotten by through lucking in on getting in on the ground floor of Youtube, but he has never put in any amount of work to truly improve his life. Since he's veered so far from the script, it's no wonder he's not getting his rocket and jet pack and big-tiddied Asian waifu.
