Oh hey, Comics expert Movie Robert once again showing us he never opened a goddamned comic book on his life.
let me put it in twitter fag lingo so Robert can understand me "tell me you never read a Spiderman comics without saying it"
Peter Parker isn't socially inept, never was, and he doesn't suck at people, he is usually well liked by most people who met him, and he has various friends be in civilians and costumed life.
The thing about Peter is that he has a bit of a chip on his shoulder, as he is quick to get confrontational and tends to see the world being unfair to him, even before becoming Spiderman he had no problem talking back to Flash Thompson for even the smallest of the provocations, which was just calling him a nerd at most, and he ignored the robber that would latter kill Uncle Ben because Peter felt no one else would make him any favours, so why should he? The only ones Peter felt like were kind to him was his aunt and Uncle:

But aside from that, Peter Parker never had any trouble being a charmer:

He was dating Betty Brant by issue 11 or 12 I think, but the romance fell off when her brother died and she believes it was because of Spiderman (also she got jealous of Liz Allen).
And speaking of miss Allen:

Yeah, look at that, Peter Parker, social inept everybody.
And it isn't just girls, for all his impulses, most of the time Peter was a very considerate and perceptive guy, and he grew to be more reaching and helpfull of others:

And that was still on the Ditko years (except that last one, was Romita I think), but peter Parker went on to be just like, Sure he had some bad luck, and the whole girl trouble VS Sperhero life that made his adventures fun, but he wasn't a giant loser.
No, what Robert thinks of Spiderman is this:

And look, I also like Raimi's movies as well, but the dweeb Mcguire played wasn't Peter Parker, for all the shit that has been hurdled, Garfield was the closest thing we got to a interpretation of the original character (and don't get me started with Spider-boy Holland).
So no Robert, this shit current comic writters are trying to pull by making Peter parker a clueless dumbass isn't compelling and it isn't in character, it just sucks.
At least read the fucking comics and don't just browse wikipedia for your stupid takes. Ah, but that would take time for checking out Glenn Grennwald for you daily dunk huh?
