That is an excellent example you made because Roe is straight up bad law. It is legislation from the bench and is completely made up. I don't remember which judge it was but one of them stated that the 14th amendment of the Constitution, the one that got rid of slavery, mixed in a little bit of the 1st and 5th amendment and that somehow allowed pregnant women who wanted to have an abortion the right and privacy to have one. He came to this reasoning because it's in the penumbra of the Constitution. It then became federal law, over ruling the states and taking away their right to decide given to them by the 10th amendment, by the court and not by the legislature. Over night, an entire new and protected class of people was created. If what I said sounded like a bunch of insane gobbledygook that's because it is. The precedent is bad because the ruling is bad. Hell Dred Scott was precedent THAT WAS BACKED BY ACTUAL LAW but we overturned that.
