My favorite part in every update is when Bob wanders out from his magical circle of sycophants and gets put on blast from all sides. Some of the people who make fun of him are clearly trolls who know their Chipman lore, but a lot of them look like randoms happy to punt the hateful obese goblin that self-importantly waddled into their twitter feed. It's always hilarious when his attempts to boost his internet fame, probably one of the few things that matter to him anymore, backfire and end up with even more people laughing at him than before.

I just read a great article that instantly reminded me of Blob. The author made three points about what today's left believe:

1) If the system does not produce liberal policy outcomes, the system is undemocratic

2) If voters elect candidates that do not endorse liberal policy outcomes, democracy as we know it is in danger

3) Politicians of the Right who aren’t supine before their institutional woke betters are Authoritarian, but politicians of the Left who favor the non-democratic imposition of progressive policies are normal

I think since Bob's been in a constant state of rage and inebriation for so long, his body has acclimated to it. It's like if something makes you feel pain for long enough, your nerves give out and you get used to it. Him cutting out the rum for breakfast and taking a chill pill would probably have some catastrophic effects for him.

1. If AOC believes that D.C. politicians should be impeached for lying under oath, wouldn't that render Miss Occasional-Cortex impeachable for lying about being assaulted on January 6, 2021?

I was watching a movie called My Dinner with Andre, about two playwrights reconnecting after years apart. At one point in the discussion, they mention that people are completely blind to reality and modern plays only serve to exacerbate that blindness (a grim warning, given that this movie was made in 1980.) It occurred to me that Bob and company match this description to a T. They have no idea about reality, except some image in their head of How Things Ought To Be, and the movies/books/products they consume only serve to reinforce their delusions; when reality inevitably intrudes, they lose their collective minds.

(As an aside, you can watch the full movie here. It's a movie you ought to see at least once in your life. Unless you're Bob, in which case it may be a bit too complicated for you.)
