"Imperialism But Woke" isn't a very good description of Star Trek considering the Prime Directive. (Nor considering how often a theme on Star Trek is "the Federation actually isn't as advanced as it thinks it is" since Bob wouldn't consider that true of the current woke.)

I also like how he thinks the "but Woke" part was invented by Trek in 1966 like missionaries and the White Man's Burden weren't part of the actual historical Imperialism.

Bob's Star Trek tweets grate on me extra hard for some reason.

I'm not even some huge Star Trek fan (I'm not an anti-fan either and I've watched a lot of the shows during their broadcast TV days), there's just something about the way that Bob talks about them that sickens me.

It actually is a "good" description of TOS, but Bob's only knowledge of Star Trek is the pop culture knowledge of TOS- Kirk fucks aliens, tells them about the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights, and Spock is a flat line. I put "good" in quotes because it's really just American exceptionalism, the idealism of the institutions of America in conflict with the Soviet Union writ large combined with 50s-70s space faring idealism. Idealism, idealism, idealism. Of course, the kind of person who hates America and assumes cynicism at every point while defending places like Iran and North Korea solely because they oppose America does not take this view.

Everything after TOS was very much subdued and of it's time, the more reserved and rational view of space and America after the disaster of Vietnam, the scaling back of NASA's budget and human exploration, and the more diplomatic approach to foreign relations through detente under Carter and Bush. Picard had many adventures through conflict between different parties resolved where the solution was "accept the differences", or in the case of Symbiosis, using the policy of non-interference to the advantage of the aggrieved party without compromising their duties to the other.

Bob is still wrong though either way. TOS was sparingly dedicated to actually presenting American exceptionalism. Most episodes were a micro-budget blueprint for Star Wars- a fairly normal space adventure that we all have come to know, while also being unashamedly a serial program that Lucas had wanted to emulate. The Cage is actually an outlier in being more cerebral than adventure, more episodes were closer to The Man Trap, where there is some alien threat that the crew have to defeat in relatively straight forward ways. They typically don't beat it do death like He-Man, but they aren't discussing major moral quandaries either. It was the Animated Series and TNG that did that.

Getting caught up with Positron's posts now.

BWHAHAHAHA. Bobby messed up with his typo and is saying he wants to send judges to the ocean who BELIEVE IN A ROUND EARTH!

That's not even close to how reservoirs work! This man honestly does think food comes from the grocery store.

Oh wait. That's probably because WE OWN LAND!

Bob is the embodiment of the "Fake Nerd," someone who only knows brand names and the most basic bitch Wikipedia-skimmed knowledge or second-hand tropes about a property, but has absolutely zero familiarity with the actual contents of a property or why it's so loved. He's the type of creature that the megacorps. that own all these franchises now love, and the reason they're deliberately dumbing those franchises down.

TL;DR: Bob and idiots like him are everything that is wrong with modern pop culture and are what is killing long-loved nerd properties.

He doesn't need to, a Thinker would already be reading his feed for guidance.

For the record, Bob's Congressman is Seth Moulton. His two state reps are even more irrelevant, there hasn't been a contested general election nor even a contested primary in a decade for the two seats where Bob lives. Even Bob voting is irrelevant. I bet he's one of those idiots who goes out to vote religiously and votes for the people running unopposed.
Bob's so stupid, he thinks tweeting into the void at congresspeople and senators who are not his is making a difference. Also the claim put forth by Bob that he's surrounded by MAGAnaiseghoulen CHUDs despite the fact no Republican has been elected in his district in aeons, doesn't track.
Captain Pike was locked in the titular cage with 3 women and told to breed with them.

Why WOULDN'T Bob worship the Talosians?
point.

It has been a really long time since I read the Bible but I am pretty sure the punishment was an unpleasant menstrual cycle and painful birthing process not pregnancy itself. I think very few people actually take the bible literally.

I see Eugenics Bob doesn't even understand the principles of genetics.

Abbott might not be right to pin the deaths on Biden's head, still, if Trump were allowed to build the wall, these 42 deaths would have been avoided. These are deaths that Democrats have to answer for.

Greg here thinks Fox News gives a damn about Synderverse fans. How droll.

I don't expect Bobby to compare Tom Cruise with Stinkface Larson, but he did.

This of course has nothing to do with Stinkface Larson cannot act at all and has the charisma of a pile of dog puke.

Once again, Derp State operative Moviebob denies the Deep State actually exists.

Nothing.

Regardless how thick the presecription eyeglasses will become in the future, Moviebob remains perpetually blind to reality.

Moviebob's been had.

Once again, Moviebob believes woke means something other than what it actually means.

Since Moviebob doesn't agree with walls and arbitrary borders, Bob has a higher rate of ownership in these 42 immigrants' deaths than Bob's ever had on Nancy Pelosi's lectern.

What if it turns out that the Uvalde shooter was the offspring of a Democrat? How's Moviebob going to react to that?

This may be an apples-to-durians comparison, but that PFP image reminds me of this image I uploaded several months ago equating Moviebob to the Seven Deadly Sins:

Could someone spoonfeed me as to why KinoRob has this apparent hate boner for Zack Snyder? He was one of the biggest supporters of Snyder's Sucker Punch, a movie I never saw because pretty much everyone BUT Bob said it was shit.
it's as simple as The Wrong Not-A-Persons like it. Something something g*merg8 or some shit like that.

It's as simple as he hates the DCEU movies, less because any flaws with them, and more just for being a rival to the MCU which is also part of why he dislikes the Sony Spider-Man movies and he mentally associates it with mindless dirtbag jocks who are every bad thing he says he hates. It's just idiotic company wars if you want it even shorter.

For why he liked Sucker Punch, it's a mix of "lmao women" and Snyder used to be "cool nerd director" to him instead of somebody tied to something that stands in the way of the absolute monopolies he wishes exist. Bob really hates competition and wishes corporations were unchallenged even if the opposition isn't even on equal footing in the first place.

Gimme the clocks if I missed this quote.

While at VidCon, certain encounters with some attendees deeply upset her. For example, she said, she ran into a person who she thought she’d made peace with, only to discover that wasn’t the case. Ellis cried for hours afterward.

Whole article

Careful there brother alpha. "Create Jobs" sounds like the dangerous maga mayo ghoul speech that holds us back from The Bobenführers dream of a superior future. You should be discouraging any human work that isn't movie reviews on youtube and encouraging the disenfranchisement of any and all manual labor.
