I have noticed a tread with alot of these "social justice" types. Almost all of them that are truly active in the movement as far as content creators, writers, bloggers, etc... almost always seem to be terrible people in the end, or apologize for terrible people on their side. Seriously, just take a look at Bob Chipman and on first glance you would think his face should be on a sex offender registry. I would also at HbomberGuy as the man looks like a sex pervert and since he is becoming a Lolcow in his own right, I imagine folks will eventually find some messed up stuff about him. I actually took the liberty of looking up this person. His name was John Rabe (pronounced Rah-bay). Here's an NYT article from 21 years ago from when his diary was unearthed. The entries have since been published into a book called The Rape of Nanking: The Forgotten Holocaust of World War II...Among other entires, there's one about how the guy caught a Japanese officer raping a Chinese girl and chased him off. I have a feeling that Moviebob isn't quite as unique as we may think, in regards to holding this sort of genocidal, authoritarian worldview. It's just that he's enough of a loud-mouth and a dumbass to constantly spew out these viewpoints in a way we can easily identify them.

You don't even need to go back that far. That Man In the High Castle adaptation features a Nazi officer who is both reprehensible and genuinely sympathetic. Haven't seen any people spit on the show yet for so audaciously suggesting a bad man can be a good husband and father.

I doubt he'd tackle anything of that caliber. So far, he's stuck pretty consistently to the realm of popular blockbusters. Which is a shame, because I'd get a kick out of how badly he'd fuck up an analysis of something like There Will Be Blood.

Well I think he would fuck up the reason why Blazing Saddles is so beloved as perhaps one of the best comedies ever. Do you think he would even touch anything that is even blockbuster indie like Wes Anderson films?
