How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

I thought people generally liked Superman: Red Son as an example of dark Superman done right
From what I've seen of the book it looks like a genuinely interesting take on Superman, I've wanted to buy it for some time now and I don't even like Superman.

I'm guessing Bob doesn't like it because it presents a world that isn't just a black and white morality and shows how just because someone thinks they're doing good they can still be doing some pretty objectionable stuff. It's well established that Bob can't deal with stories with a greyer morality than an average episode of Power Rangers.

I wonder how MovieBob would feel if instead of Red Son, they did a film based on Overman and the New Reichsmen from Earth-10. Sure it's the universe where Nazis won WWII and "Karl Kant" was raised by Hitler himself and is the current Führer of the world but he's a sympathetic character. Unlike 99% of his group, he feels guilt about his nation being formed on billions of corpses while he was off exploring space for any signs of Krypton. Once got caught in the destruction of a city by a group of rebels he sympathized with too. He's not open about how he feels about all this since he's the Führer but you can see bits of Superman shine through the fucked up mess Overman was raised in.

You know that footless Hitler would do that if he could.
"I'm living in a bubble? How about YOU garbage people live in a BOTTLE!?"

Apologies for the double post.

This is notable, only in terms of sheer incomprehension:

Ah yes, thinking rich limousine liberals are snobby means you're just a bumfick yokel refusing to defer to your better.

What planet does this guy live on? I'm not gonna fucking aknowledge rich celebrity weirdos as smarter than me just because they make their living in front of a camera.

Once upon a time actors were considered maybe half a step above prostitutes. In a lot of cases they were considered a good deal lower than prostitutes.

Also, has anyone ever called this gastropod out for being a classist shitbag?

As he says right there, he thinks if it's on TV than it's a super popular intelligent way to think. I'd argue if you're still watching TV in current year + 1 then you aren't very bright. I don't get spending that money on such a shit service when there's objectively better ways to view whatever the hell you wanted to see.

I've noticed a fixation on TV is common among people like him. Is it because of actors sharing their opinions or is Bob just showing his age? Last time I ever looked in the direction of a TV was before I was a teenager which I imagine is common story with the "20 or under" crowd. IMO TV became irrelevant, actual irrelevant not "unpopular" irrelevant, somewhere around the start of Bush Jr.'s 2nd term at the latest. Either way it's funny since progressives claim to be the voice of the future and all.

What's weird is that there's a lot of really good stuff on tv these days, ever since The Sopranos changed the medium. But unless it's more capeshit garbage, Bob doesn't seem to indulge in it.

Is there? I mostly see it as "stuff to stream later", I couldn't deal with keeping up with a TV schedule or flipping through channels to see what's on like I imagine Bob would do. My thing wasn't with shows themselves, just TV.

I sympathize. I watch exactly three television shows these days, and two of them spend most of their time off the air.

I can't help but wonder how being a father would change Bob.

I'm sure within the first twelve months, he'd be playing through Super Mario Bros 3 straight through with his baby watching in its infant chair.

By age 4, due to bad parenting, Bob's baby would probably hate him. That's where Bob becoming "Captain Impressive" comes in, after he falls into the poisoned lake near Worcester. Wanting to "Impress" his baby with his new Super Powers (including Laser Eyes, Flying, and Super Speed), Bob coins his Super Hero nickname.

After that episode is over, Blob will end up finding that parenting didn't change him at all, and he is disgusted to find his now 6 year old child spitting all over the floor, and in front of house guests. "But Daddy!" Bob's child says "I am pretending to be Mario! I thought Mario was your hero!"

Right now, Bob's retweeting a bunch of writers who got sacked from MTV News. AFAIK, he's never worked or written anything for MTV News. The whole thing feels like some randy who's trying to fit in with a group of friends with a tenuous connection to him at a bar.

Hey, you're back. Glad to know your posts are still as exceptional as ever.

i would say that on Netflix where most of the "good" stuff is at. I believe that Bojack Horseman is a funny and excellent deconstruction of the Hollywood star and the antics of one and the true price of fame. I don't believe Bob has actually touched it because it isn't MCU so smartly done comedy is under his radar.

Also, there are a bunch of network/cable shows on Netflix like Rectify and Penny Dreadful that I completely missed the first time around, followed by me kicking myself for not knowing about them sooner. Of course, that means taking a risk and be willing to give programming that's not the most popular a shot, and Bob's unwilling (or possibly unable) to take the plunge. Given that his television diet consists of Wrasslin', Marvel shows, throwback ABC summer game shows and (IIRC) House reruns, don't expect this to change any time soon.

While the commercial was over dramatic, I don't see what's so exceptional about it. Anyone who's not an ignorant sheep can see that left-wing terrorism is on the rise and the situation is only getting worse and worse. It's also amusing to see Bob basically admit that the media validates his views, which is at the core of what SJWs want.

Also, "white supremacist terrorist organization":
