:powerlevel:, but I actually had a bald, hard-ass gym teacher from Boston in middle school. The difference is that hewas skinny and exercised every day. Bob could learn something from him.
I just came back from seeing Homecoming. The TL;DR opinion is that it's the best Spider-Man movie since Spider-Man 2. I could think of one big gripe Bob could have with the movie:
Again, consider that this is Bob "Gas the miners, Mario is finer" Chipman we're talking about, and you can sort of see where his real less-than-enthused reaction towards the movie stems from. The bad guy is The Vulture, the head of a working class construction company who's screwed over by the government and uses leftover technology from the end of The Avengers to start robbing banks. At the climax of the movie, Vulture tries to find common ground with Peter by stating that they're both screwed over by the powers that be, and is actually treated sympathetically by the movie, being one of the few villains in a Marvel movie with a three-dimensional character and who lives at the end.
off topic but I really liked Spiderman Homecoming as well giving that Vulture was in it for the money and for his family and this time the hero actually does the heroic thing and saves a man's life that tried to take his. Then again, Bob can't sympathize with working class people all that well even though in the review he said that Keating's performance was one working class stiff performance he didn't hate. Then again, it is only due to Muh Powers rather than the reason for his villainy. Yeah the movie isn't as good as Guardians Vol 2 (which is a James Gunn movie) but at least it is something fun and new.
On topic someone should compare Spiderman Homecoming to Spiderman 2 on Bob's twitter just to really rattle his cage. Better yet, declare the Amazing Spiderman movies better than the Raimi movies just to watch him chimp out epically.
