How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

Man, it would be super ironic if Bob was totally in love with a different movie that also used a bunch of obscure characters nobody cared about. Why, that would make him a hypocrite.
You don't understand, it's okay when Marvel does it because their movies are clearly made for a superior audience.

Also, Bob is the only person who's proud of the fact he goes to sleep around 1:00 PM like he's a night security guard:

What, you mean constantly being on Twitter, weeding out the INFERIOR ANIME AVATARS isn't like being a hardworking security guard? Clearly, you're not meant for the great, superior future!

On a somewhat related note, I got around to watching that video by "dunkey." It was actually an alright video. But no surprise that Moviebob wouldn't like a video that claims reviews should be objective.

Well it wasn't like Dunkey was going 100% objective, but he did say that if you know your biases are going to effect the review, then don't to it. Then again Bob is jealous of that 1.5 mil sub count Dunkey has as Bob has more than likely peaked in his "career"

The irony with both cases is Jack Kirby's Fourth World and Guardians of the Galaxy never were "nobody cares" characters. You haven't been around comic fans long if you didn't know of the cult following for the New Gods and pre-movie GotG. Keep in mind I said comic fans, not fans of things based on comics which they commonly get mixed in with.
Bob also seemed to forget how the DC animated shows of the early 90s to mid-2000s introduced the New Gods to those not familiar with them. I'm sure there are fans would love to have Michael Ironside to portray Darkseid in future DC movies because him voicing the character in Superman and Justice League shows was one of his memorable roles.

Drumpfkins can't appreciate superior European future cinema.
The thing is that Valerian isn't getting bad reviews, but Bob is still salty because none of them are calling it the masterpiece he wants it to be. Remember that he put it on his most anticipated films of the year list, combined with the fact that he thinks he's never wrong about anything means that this could possibly lead to a rant in the near future. :optimistic:

EDIT: Ninja'd on the update by @Positron

Something tells me Dunkirk is gonna do better than Valerian, and he's going to shit on the former whilst throwing a hissy fit about the latter not doing as well as it "deserves" (see also: his take on Scott Pilgrim when it got trounced at the box office by The Expendables).

That's kinda the point he'd be making that the other New Gods don't matter since they aren't the "main event" like Darksied. It's ignorant on the level of saying Superman and Batman stories are worthless unless they feature Lex or the Joker.

Like all great autists, there's nothing like comparing governmental incompetence to movies:

I know Bob is sadly not alone in this boat by a long shot, but what is it with Generation X and Millennials( present company included) can't seem to compare events today with historical events in the past and resort to pop culture? Are they really that oblivious to history?

Ask Shia "Harry Potter was my generation's Vietnam" LaBeouf.

Bob's talking about cooking eggs and pork now, conveniently ignoring the fact that his body's shaped like one and full of the other:

It was always trichinosis with pork, which was a leftover fear brought over by European immigrants, as you don't have to worry about trichinosis with American pork.

Short answer: :autism:
Long answer: Society didn't realize they were cultivating a generation of emotionally and mentally-fragile adult children until it was too late.

At least MovieBob didn't go straight to Harry Potter or Star Wars this time. I'd give him brownie points except he could do with less junk food in his diet. So, celery points I guess?

One reason is the malignant postmodern ethos that History is merely a narrative being imposed on us by the powerful, and is therefore not "real" and has no bearing to our present day whatsoever, yet on the other hand pop culture is supposed to be an anti-elitist, democratic art form that best reflects the present day life.
