How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

I am a fan of KH and this guys overanalyzing tells me just he knows jack and shit about it.
Dude, it is a game serious so dumb, the only reason why some peopleplay it is because of Simple and Clean
Moviebob is the last person who should talk about and/or analyse kingdom hearts he too far removed, being not a big final fantasy or disney fan and it coming out past his younger years.

Moviebob is doing a lot of top ten now, I guess even he wants the sweet clickbait bucks.
It's like if WatchMojo was somehow even less watchable.
He also talks about acting in plays, which ... well, that might actually make sense, given it'd show that his laughable videos are the result of years of frustrated fantasies about being an actor ... but I just can't believe he'd have gone this long without ever having mentioned it.
And whenever he's salty about Trey & Matt from South Park, he'll use "Broadway" like an insult. Now that's cultural superiority.

:offtopic: Croshaw and his Zero Punctuation series is the only thing keeping that site alive. The second he leaves, it's over. :offtopic:
It's a shame really. The Escapist was one of the few gaming sites that came out the other side of GamerGate smelling like roses and they had the great foresight to shitcan Bob before he became an even bigger liability. Sad to see it hasn't paid off.

The Escapist has been in pretty bad shape for sometime; recently they gave up on keeping their gaming discussion subforum free from spambots, resulting in a lot less engagement. If the site survives past 2018 I'll be shocked.

Getting back to Bob, we've got some new content in the form of a gameoverthinker video.

10: Mario&Sonic at the Olympics for Wii
9: Alien v. Predator Arcade version
8: Robocop v. Terminator for Genesis
7: Battletoad: DoubleDragon for NES
6: Alex Kid in Shinboi World for Sega MasterSystem.
5: Tatsunoko v. Capcom for Wii
4: SuperSmash Brothers for Wii U
3: Marvel v. Capcom 2
2: Super Smash Brothers Brawl: Subspace Emissary.
1: Kingdom Heart
I like that he puts Super Smash Bros on there twice, just to really drive home his raging erection for Nintendo. Frankly I'm a little surprised he didn't put it at number 1.

Thing is Iraq/Afghanistan isn't at all comparable to Vietnam and Bob knows it. A lot of those kids who had to run through the rice paddies didn't have a choice. Bob opted to sit out when Dubya needed men. You can't bitch about your generation's participation in a war when participation was completely voluntary. While the Chads who bullied him were taking Baghdad, he was playing Mario.

I get your point and I was comparing it in the context of the seemingly unending war just like Vietnam was. I knew we didn't have the draft like we did in the past, but regardless at least with my comparison you could understand where I am coming from whereas Bob is just a jackass for comparing something as petty as 90's video game sales wars to a terrible war where you could love your friend to a literal spike pit.

My god. The escapist is still up after all these years. that just sad, it very clearly on life support now.
I mean just look.
I mean jim and bob stuff is fucking awful trash, but you can see they were sort of hard up for content after they left.
The Escapist is still reeling from the terrible management of Susan Arendt and Russ Pitts. They invested in shitty series and cons and policed the forums so that only people with a certain mindset could be on it. This was fine as long as Jim Sterling and Yahtzee were putting out content along with other brands which were less popular but people would watch because they were already on the site to see Jim's and Yahtzee's stuff. But then Jim left and the cult that was cultivated on the forums were ticked about the sites handling of GamerGate and left as well.

The thing is, Bob shits on The Escapist regulary, and is such an egotistical ingrate that he won't even acknowledge the fact that without them picking him up, he would be more irrelevant than he already is.

Of course he does. They fired him. Did you really expect this bloated sack of bitterness and self-loathing to have anything approaching good terms with a company that was unable to appreciate his obvious genius?

I am still confused on this but was he actually fired from ScrewAttack as well, or was the second time around just not worth it in his mind?

I would not be shocked, as bob as I recall back in the day was never liked on screwattack and only was on there after having his fans from off site who never use screwattack stacked the votes over those who regular user liked and personally as I recall had much then a slide show and a fake voice.

God that would be terrible working at a place where you know that not alot of people like you at all and feel your unwelcomed. Then again, I bet that is Bob's entire life as he seems to be the type that would be insufferable to deal with in real life as he is on the internet.

It says a lot that what you said could be applied to his experiences at Screwattack and high school.

For a guy who complains that Hillary was "robbed" during the election, he sure won't acknowledge his own fans basically rigging a spot on Screwattack for him.

Hey at least he has something in common with his beloved DNC with rigging elections to try and get favorable outcomes. He is just like his role model Hillary.

Well nowhere he seem to work do people like him, most comments seem to dislike him the only people seem to enjoy his work are the little community that follows him around where ever he goes, even then they seem to get pissed at him from time to time. He just such an unlikable guy.

To be fair that was like 10 years ago now so people rarely bring it up now, and hell even then it was only like the pretty small user base of screwattack that brought it up. I was a user at the time on screw attack and don't recall much, but I do remember I didn't vote for him and he was not the kind of stuff me and other people went there for. I went there from the avgn and dumb video game jokes, not rants from some fat nobody.

Has he ever left a job voluntarily and on good terms? I mean by not being either fired or rage quitting? (I'm not ashamed to admit I might have been one of the likely many that instigated one of his unplanned departures when I had a conversation with his then employer about why said employee kept calling the readership including myself "Nazi's" and "Worse than ISIS!" after repeated warnings from management, and after said employer had promised me directly that said behavior would stop.)

I'm fairly confident that he hasn't although I'm not going to pretend that I can remember his full employment history.
Pre-Escapist Bob seems like he would have been aware that he was basically a nobody so I can't imagine he'd voluntarily quit from anywhere that employed him for talking about films or video games.

I had no idea it was this bad.

Probably worth mentioning that extra punctuation, zero punctuation and judging by the cover are all done by the same guy (yahtzee). I always suspected that Yahtzee was propping up the site by himself, with Sterling and Blob acting as backup supports, but this just confirms it. I'm genuinely surprised he hasn't moved on to somewhere else at this point.
He has a youtube channel, but he hasn't posted anything because his best friend couldn't come with him to America. Shame, considering Gabriel recounting the experience of ingesting a pound of cooked psilocybin and discussing the resulting existential crisis with a brick wall was hilarious.

I remember he worked at a TV station as a film critic, then got fired because his opinion on Passion of the Christ clashed with the station's opinion.

Though given that it's Bob we're talking about, you can take that with a grain of salt.
