Bob reduces an artistic choice with meaning and pathos that describes the entire character, his struggle and his pain to some edge-lord choice. This is how bad of a pop-culture critic he is. He knows nothing about pop-culture or art. He is so fucking stupid it is painful. On the plus side, it seems that the showrunners know the character. Or at least the trailer editor does.

What makes it more painful is that One in particular is one of Metallica's most beloved songs. They play it at every live show and it's considered to be a great song even by people who don't care much for the genre. And Bob dismisses it because it's Metallica and Metallica are just edgelords (which pisses me off as a big fan). He's likely never heard the song by itself all the way through. Why else would he link the Beavis and Butt-head riff?

If I can play Armchair Psychiatrist for a minute, there's a really good chance he's on the spectrum. Think about it: Awkward physical presence, hard time relating to others, odd, regimented sleep/life schedules, no voice control, specific field of interests, etc. All the McDonald's and sensory overload from being on the internet all day certainly aren't helping.
