The Legend of Zelda is also fabled to have started that way, as not a real story but more as a fantasy he would have when exploring as a kid, and the feelings it gave him. But that later developed into a proper mythos with something resembling lore, once technology caught up to vision and other people got to put themselves into it over the course of multiple games.
Metroid kind of looked at all the other Nintendo games eschewing narrative and tried to do it from the get anyways. Even Kirby eventually developed something of a deep backstory.
Blob fixated on the only one of the big classic Nintendo IPs that never went anywhere at all in terms of artistic storytelling or narrative, at least as far as I know.

The closest is whenever EFAP comments on one of his videos, they pause them a lot, but with Moviebob is basically obligatory because of how much crap he talks non-stop.
The sped-up voice in some of his videos doesn't help either.
Them shitting on Moviebob is the only reason to watch some EFAP videos, and even then they take too long.

I think this is another case of Robert vastly over estimating twitter's influence and how this shit works.
Look, twitter cancellations of some hollywood fucks are done by and to other hollywood fuckos who are also too deep in twitter drama, but in general it doesn't create a lot of ripples in the real money maker, as in, Disney giving the boot to that Gina Carano Lady won't do dick to whatever gains they will have with Star Wars, Carano is a mid to small bit star at best and of no consequence.
However, fandom and twitter screetching won't make a difference when there is a genuine loss and gain into their IPs and no matter how much the "fandom" sides with the creators, it means nothing. Joe Shuster, the creator of Superman, died in poverty and debt, just by the time he was a old man DC gave him a 20k per year chump change and credits and when he died, the his family was so fucked they agreed to sign off any rights to Superman as long as DC would pay for Shuster's debt.
And while twitter and reeee troons weren't around, there was a very, VERY public reaction against DC, it was even international news, and they couldn't give less of a fuck.
So the whole "The last best defense re: beating back permanent copyright extension was 'fandom' siding with creators over companies." is utter and complete delusional bullshit, "fandom" doesn't mean shit. The only defense against copyright hog is a contract, a very clear one at that, which is something Rowling does have.

Hillsong is one of the most mealy-mouthed non-denominational faith communities out there, whose pastor has spent his whole career refusing to answer any questions about abortion, homosexuality, contraception or any other moral issues, and yet these people still attack it because it doesn't let non-binary two-spirit folx worship Gaia at its services.

What's crazy is that we've reached the point where most people don't care what the LGBTees do in their private lives. Oh lord, no. Chris Farley and David Spade did NOT have the ability to do an earnest Super Mario Bros. film. They were an American Bokke/Tsukkomi routine, and it worked so well it carried two pretty funny movies that didn't take themselves seriously (although Tommy Boy was FAR superior to Black Sheep). What we would have gotten if they did Super Mario would literally be an absolute farce (not that it wouldn't be funny). Not a lick of the plot would be taken seriously, they'd probably do the powerups=drugs thing a couple times, Bowser would be terrible special effects, most of us would piss ourselves laughing, we'd see a hot blonde kiss a fat guy, roll credits. I don't even know if there was a talking point here from Robert.
He says that the institution of the police is broken beyond repair and needs to be replaced by something "new", and it will be staffed by the good eggs from the broken police.
But he never gives a hint of detail on how this "new" thing will work, or how they will enforce the law, and unless Robert can explain how in the fuck can you have a law enforcement body without the use of force, the main grievance people have with the police.
So either you will have just the police with another name, or a burocratic system that won't be able to do shit.
I hate the debate bros shit, but man, I do want to see how can anyone defend ideas like Robert has in a actual conversation, that would be wild...
